Went in to play music with the live Irish sessions. Place was congenial and quite lovely. Clean, good design. Restrooms clean. Staff was helpful and courteous and the Guinness was tasty.

Friendly place to go too the tourists won't regret it. The only problem I have with the Bantry bay is its not wheelchair accessible and that's a big loss its a hotel and should have easy access for wheelchair users as I have to help some wheelchair users. In the summer they can sit outside.

Booked/stayed here without reservations based on positive online reviews. Good location in town and staff are great, very friendly and helpful. A few bad points was that there was no hot water on the evening we arrived (there was the next morning), some noise as people left the bar/club downstairs (we were warned that this may happen and staff tried to accommodate as best they could be putting us in a back room on top floor). Food from the bar is pretty poor. Had dinner but didn't stay for breakfast. Would recommend, but just don't expect too much, good for a place to crash only.

Poor service. Very poor at accommodating people with different dietary requirements such as coeliac. Everything seemed such a task for them and was too much hassle such as getting gluten free bread or onion rings. Not helpful at all to customers! Food is way too over priced for the portion size which you receive. Staff were not friendly and seemed like they didn't want to be their at all. I was very dissapointed with the meal and portion size for the price I paid for it!
