The Strand is in a beautiful location and food was very good. However, as Francis Brennan suggested, they could pay attention to their bedrooms. Bed was comfy, but although there were teabags etc. there were no teaspoons or kettle! We had to request one. Also the sink tap was wonky and when we used it we had to pull it over to stop water running onto floor. Correcting this and ensuring that everything necessary for bedrooms is in place would make a good experience much better.

Absolutely fab lunch here. Best fried calamari we ever had. Seafood pie and breaded hake were yummy. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to others

Restaurant is a lovely setting for breakfast and dinner. Food was nice. However, the room is not up to standard for the price. Cheap laminate flooring and just a poor finish. Needs work. Also quite noisy from neighbours. Can hear the tv / chat from next room

Very busy and popular pub right on the beach. Good ice-cream too. Watch out for wasps in the sunshine.

    - Went down here for the bluegrass festival. It was brilliant. Great weather. The strand hotel had great food and the staff very friendly. In the height of it all I asked for a cocktail and got it no bother. I will be down again lovely spot.

Only had two pints of guinness, but they were good value. The view was good, the staff were good and the atmosphere was lively.

Great selection of fresh and excellent seafood, nice location at the waterfront. The restaurant was very busy and staff seemed a bit stressed. It also gets very loud. They have a large seating area outside and also live music.

We went here for lunch. Great menu. Everything on the menu was locally sourced and freshly cooked. The fish was amazing. I would definitely go here again. The surrounding village of Dunmore was absolutely stunning and beautifully kept.
