  Had the best fillet steak in Simpson's bar and restaurant in carandonagh last night, I have never had a fillet steak on a fillet steak and cooked to perfection. The staff are always so friendly and nothing is too much trouble 10/10

  Excellent in all departments. Understandable wait for freshly cooked, locally sourced food. Well worth the wait. Charming helpfull staff. Lovely comfortable warm place.

  Staff members very friendly and helpful, foods good.would have liked more vegetation choices, and chips cooked separately in vegetable oil. Not animal fat. Overall a pleasant experience. Thank you

  Probably one of the worst meals I have ever had in my life. My girlfriend and I decided to call in on our way back from Malin head as we had worked up quite a hunger from the day's activities. I wouldn't class myself as fussy or hard to please, but my main the "award winning Simpsons Black & White" was like tasteless mulch in bowl, so much so that I couldn't finish it which is rare for me as I have a healthy appetite. My girlfriend had a similar experience in that she couldn't finish her rib burger as it wasn't up quite to scratch, it was actually like a ruslters microwave rib burger!! This isn't even including the strange tasting garlic potatoes and the starter of Buffalo chicken wings, which was reformed chicken in a the shape of a small drum stick. If you're hungry from a days activity in Donegal, don't make the same mistake we did, look elsewhere. I would have been better getting something from the chip shop. Very disappointing!!

  Staff were lovely and the food was amazing the hot chocolate fudge cake is to die for. Highly recommend Simpson's couldn't find anything to fault it for
