We ate here per the recommendation of our B&B. There were lots of choices. The restaurant was cozy with a coal fire burning merrily in the fireplace. Our service was excellent. I had an very good glass of wine and my husband enjoyed his draft beer. Would highly recommend this place if you are staying near Moville.

Really great food and not overly expensive. Staff were very friendly. Was a bit dubious looking at it from outside, but inside is lovely. Definitely worth a visit.

Great evening with big portions of freshly prepared food - very warm atmosphere and great service on a very busy evening. Will definitely return when next in Donegal!

Excellent gastro pub, lively and I'd say it's always fairly busy. Have a drink or two at the bar it's worth the wait.

This place was recommended to us for food. Now we were warned that it was popular and hence might be busy. Sure enough the place was thronged. We were greeted warmly and advised that the wait time might be up to an hour. So going on the good reviews and recommendations we decided to wait. The place itself is full of interesting pictures and artefacts. Beer was good and we didn't mind waiting for a while. About an hour in they came and took our order. What we noticed whike waiting was that as patrons got up and left, tables were being left empty instead of promptly moving people on to them. After 1 hour and 35 minutes we were getting really fed up so enquired about a table. Within two minutes we were sat down and food was brought out immediately. The food had obviously been cooked for a while as my pizza was lukewarm and dry.
I appreciate that popular places get really busy but I do not like having to wait so long for mediocre food. Policy should be to turn people away rather than leaving them wait so long. Food should be enjoyed and not rushed and I felt under pressure to eat up and vacate my table. Probably would not go back.response / report this review -

Food was great, drinks where great, service was great, really liked the inside and warmth etc , overall a great restaurant and would definitely go back any day of the week 😊

The ultimate authentic Irish Pub experience. Terrific menu choices, good selection of beers and wines and mixed drinks. Live music AND a fireplace. A little gem of a pub. Well done Eddie and Staff.
