Service is excellent. Consistently good food but quite expensive for what you get. Sides are huge so better to share between two people.

Highly priced restaurant with average food and service that treats you with barely disguised distain. Supposed to be well known for their steaks.

This is the third time I have been there and each time the steak has been overcooked and lacking in flavour. I think any restaurant can have an off night but this is the third visit where the experience has been exactly the same.

In addition the waiters do that annoying thing of constantly topping up your wine.

Definitely not worth it. Better food and better service can be found elsewhere for a much more reasonable price.

The meal was absolutely perfect. Literally from the minute we walked in until we walked out that door. Pork belly starter was to die for, prawn my girlfriend got were so tasty. I.got the T-Bone it was massive, girlfriend got the new york cut, not as tender but the flavour profile was through the roof. Desserts and wines were all on point. 10/10(you do pay for it and make sure to COME HERE STARVING)

#1 American Style Steakhouse in Dublin. The bar downstairs is historic. Meat is cooked to perfection, and you'll be telling everyone about the onion strings. A must for any visit to Dublin.

been going here on and off for years i have yet to find anywhere that comes even close to it. its the best restaurant i have ever been in anywhere in the world. proper portions friendly not annoying service is it pricey? yes is it worth it? every cent yes. dont eat all day before you visit and you probably wont eat for a week when you leave. their early bird is really good value. for a special occasion its something you will cherish. to shanahans the menu is not jaded dont change it you cant improve on perfection!

Came here for a business dinner and my advice here is make sure you come here hungry. The meat is fantastic and big! I got the rib-eye and it was mouth watering and absolutely delicious.

The interior is lovely but it does feel a bit old world and if you like classic and heritage style opulence then this is your place.

The serving staff are first rate and just ask for their help and assistance and you'll feel like you are soon talking to a friend.

It is pricey but you are also paying for quality as well as the address. As long as I'm not paying the bill I'd come here again no problem :)

Food was excellent. Nice wine list and great service. I would give a 5 if they hadn't tried to slip cheap sambuca by us at the end. Poor form!

Amazing steak. Nice knowledgeable staff, Good wine list.
Great venue. Meals are a little on the pricey side but worth every bit of it.

We had, of course, steak. It was excellent, as was the rest of the food we ordered. However, the prices are high, which is the reason for the 4 star rating. Nice place to try at least once, get there early to enjoy a cocktail downstairs in the oval room.

I went for the steak, and I'll be going back. Outstanding service, food , and the hidden gem that is "The Oval Office" bar awaits for a drop or two of whisk(e)y if that takes your fancy. A truly great experience

Good Steak. But very expensive relative to what you are getting. Nice but wouldn't be on my list to return.

Food is good. Presentation let's it down a bit. Maitre D didn't show up all night. Our host asked medium rare. Stake was at best medium.
