We had a big problem here. The attitude of the woman at the front desk was bad from the start. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday evening and there was no one there either, which was a bit unsettling given the seclusion of the property. I would go elsewhere.

We stayed there this summer! Nice rooms, quiet location, excellent service (the owners are very friendly). And the food is an experience for itself.

This is like a step back in time in terms of setting, service and quality, from reception to departure it is a real experience in feeling wanted and spoilt. You get to speak to other guests as there is not a TV priority, it is tranquil and very relaxing. The quality of the service and food is fantastic, you need to be there to understand that. The Landlord Johnston Suite, where we stayed was in its original decor with all mod cons, it was clean, clean clean. The 4 poster was at least 6 feet wide amd the silence of the surroundings helped sleep and relaxation. Will we return, yes, if you want to treat yourself try it
