A lovely caravan park right on Renvyle beach on the Wild Atlantic Way. The location is superb the beach is amazing. The facilities in the park are spotlessly clean & modern. Would highly recommend staying here

Officially a 2 star campsite, presumably due to the slightly basic facilities (small kitchen area, for instance) but 100% a 5 star experience, camping at the edge of a private beach in stunning surroundings.

Great Location, really enjoyed our stay. The Beach is really beautiful and you are practically camping in the dunes. Facilities are fine - toilets, showers, kitchen & electrical points on site. The main attraction is the beach so there are no indoor activities or playground. Simple rules to follow from management, (check out by 12 pm or stay an extra night) we had no problem with that and we actually decided to stay an extra night. The camping area is in the dunes so it's not perfectly level and might not suit everyone but we will definitely be returning! Highly recommend this location.

The Fawlty Towers of camp sites!

The management behave like having paying guests stay on their site is an inconvenience. Instead of giving you a welcome or any thanks, you get attitude.

They seem to have forgotten the 'hospitable' part of the hospitality industry, and one of the key rules of running a caravan park - to number your sites clearly in some kind of cohesive manner.

The location may be stunning, but the staff are abominations, who should be reminded they are not running a concentration camp.

I'm still baffled by the abysmal customer service skills of the staff who checked us in and out of the caravan park.

We were given a list of very strict rules on registration, without any kind of warmth or welcome to the park itself, just a list of things we must and must not do and then sent on our way.

One of the strict rules you must follow is that you must park in the site number given and under no circumstances move to another even if it looks free. When we entered the park looking for our site number, we found there was no numbers or posts labeling any of the stands. We eventually found one of the electrical point posts had 4 numbers written on it, 1 of which was ours, but no indication as to which stand corresponded to which number - and there was just cars and tents everywhere around the post. On phoning the Reception we were told the number we were given was for a grass stand, and there was no set area to park, we were just supposed to plug in and go anywhere. None of which was explained on check-in, other than the fact that we strictly couldn't park anywhere other than our site number.

We were then given a hard stand instead, which was fair enough, and settled down to watch the numerous other arrivals all come in and scratch their heads as to where on earth they were supposed to be parking themselves, as there were no numbers clearly displayed by any stands.

The location itself was lovely, right by the beach and great views of the Twelves Pins. We settled in and got over the chaotic numbering system, and the strange, unfriendly welcome we had received.

Then the next day we left at 10am (having already been told on arrival to strictly leave the site by 12 midday and hand in our registration card on departure). As we drove towards the Reception, an older lady was already stood outside, and pointed rudely to the space infront of her, and we were ordered to stop. She approached our window, and without even a good morning, or a hello, just started straight in with, "right, where are you going? are you checking out or what?". We said we were checking out. Then she started on a tirade "right where's your registration card? you are meant to bring that to me, what site number were you? I've seen people everyday just leaving and not telling me they are staying another night, or they are not checking out before 12 or they are not giving me their card back.I'm going to start charging deposit if you people don't stop this. " She then went on to lecture us further. We had no idea where this had come from, as we were leaving 2 hours before the departure time, and had pulled in to speak to her before we drove out. We told her we were very upset about her manner towards paying customers and wouldn't be staying again, to which she said 'fine' and walked off.

We were left furious with this woman, having paid €25 to stay the night at the park and to be spoken to in this manner. I've worked in hospitality management for years, and when guests leave your property, you say "good morning", "how was your stay?" "where are you heading today?", "what was your site number please?", "thank you for coming". It's really not difficult.

If the staff of the caravan park have issues with guests over staying, you DO NOT take this out on other guests. This issue is down to poor management, and not down to your paying customers. We've stayed at many caravan parks, and most will give you a set stand number to stay within, and a strict check out time, but will do this is a friendly manner, not in the manner a drill instructor. Guests are coming to relax, not have the fear of God put into them. It's absolutely disgusting that both the staff we met spoke to us in this terse, condescending manner.

Although the scenary is nice, the park management and staff leave a lot to be desired. There are plenty of other caravan parks located on the beaches around Connemara, and I would suggest you try any of them first, as these people do not deserve the custom.

Quite basic in terms of pitches and amenities but great views, right on the beach and exactly the type of thing we enjoy. Laundry is far too expensive at €15 a wash.

It was 1 of the nicest places we've stayed, we are from the north of ireland and holiday in ireland a lot. Stunning veiws and very relaxing. Its like having your own private beach which was beautiful. Would def go back.

Very poor site. You get a field, toilet /shower 🚿 facilities and that's about it. Poor obstructed view of the beach and mountains from site. Also expensive. 1 night camping was 21 euros vs other places would be 24 for 2 nights.
