Very good tour and very nice tour guide. Lovely spot and fun activity after tour. Interesting history
Absolutely fantastic place to bring friends visiting from abroad. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Super staff and so knowledgeable 👏👏
Was an interesting time. Vwry informative guide. Well worth a visit. The children enjoyed panning for minerals at the end.
Took the kids here earlier today. I wasn't sure what to expect. The brochure and the website do not do this place justice. We spent between 2 and 3 hours here. We had the tour of the mine which was informative and fun. My kids range from 7 to 14 and they all enjoyed going down into the mine. Following the mine we spent quite some time panning for gold. The staff were brilliant and very knowledgeable. We could not have asked for more. Excellent value and would love to visit again.
Amazing place to visit. Very interesting mine tour with museum. Lovely grounds. Old railway walk. Sheep dog displays also.gift shop is brilliant great value for money. Highly recommend Glengola mines
Nice little mine with friendly staff. Not quite comparable to what one might visit in eg Harzen but the best in Ireland.
Wonderful. Very enthusiasitc owner, who gave an educational and entertaining tour through the mine. Suitable for families
Great family day out. Very friendly staff
We found this place accidently and absolutly loved our tour!! It was amazing and will recommend to everyone we know!
I visited here with my family in August. There's a small museum (one room with minerals, photos and old mining gear), a gift shop, panning for gems (four zones in the one trough) and the mine itself.
The tour starts with getting a helmet on and a brief talk in the museum. Then, it's of down the mine via a concrete staircase. It's not warm or dry down the mine, so do wear good shoes and something warm.
The mine tour isn't long, but informative and both my kids enjoyed it.
