Just returned after 2 night stay and we won't be back. Lovely area and beautiful views but if I was to stay in this area again I'd definitely be booking with the the beach hotel and not pier head. Staff in Pier head definitely not overly friendly, apart from 1 or 2. Their customer service leaves alot to be desired. Found a hair in my chicken curry and all I got was a quick 'sorry'. Wasn't offered something different to eat, discount, or free drink. Had to hay full price for a meal I couldn't eat! Sent hotel am email telling them all this and how disappointed I was and suprise suprise I haven't heard back!

Come for the views of Mullaghmore but you will not be staying for the service. Inefficient and while not quite unfriendly, your made to feel as if it's a whole load of hassle for the staff to get you a drink or a meal. Tables left uncleared etc. The staff are nice enough but very poorly trained.

Amazing experience with affordability Fairly priced.. A calm place to get away.. Will be back for sure.. The only thing i wished more was if the window of the room was bigger then it is.. Anyways.. A place to go. Staff is very helpful. And the place was super clean.

Decent place. Not a very good beer selection, no craft beers. But nice staff. Nice seating outside too and clean toilets. Would recommend.

Enjoyable location. Beautiful scenery around the headland.
Bed, mattress is way overdue for update, and more a single than a double.
Our room is small, with a disproportionate large bathroom, with a very! loud extraction fan.
The WiFi bandwidth is absolutely ridiculus and stems from pre-1990. Unusable for anything but sending emails. Browsing Internet is a pain in the rear and don't even think about Netflix or YouTube.
The TV is smaller than my computer screen at home.

Started out great as the first bartender was very helpful. The waitress that took our order was pleasant, but obviously a new hire as she was uncertain about major menu items. I ordered the spicy chicken wings since it was a call out box on the menu bragging about them. I'm of the opinion that if you have a call out you should at least get that right. WRONG. The wings I got came off of some parakeets and we're so overcooked they shouldn't have been served. I fault the cook for messing them up, then serving what he/she wouldn't eat themselves. The waitress shares some fail in not maintaining some standards and refusing to serve obviously badly prepared food and not asking the cook to save face by fixing their mistake. Add to this, we never saw her again. We had to get the replacement bartender, who was quite bothered that I showed him the wings and suggested that they couldn't be served to customers. To his credit he took them off the bill. This is a management failure to educate staff in service standards as there was a breakdown at every level after the welcome. Avoid until someone learns to run a business and the reviews support the improvements.
