Just had a lovely weekend at the Sligo Southern. Been going there for years. Given a lower level room when requested. Room was big, warm, fantastic bed, beautiful bathroom. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Music very enjoyable on Saturday night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent, lovely place to stay. Friendly, very helpful staff, rooms big, nice and clean. We occupied two rooms and when asking the lovely lady at the reception for rooms close to each other we had them organised already. Great service altogether. Thank you :)

A great hotel. The entertainment at the bar was great fun. People were up dancing and having a great time. The rooms are very nice.

Good hotel. Decor a bit old fashioned and TV in room too small but generally grand. Good shower.
Food was unreal and live music in the bar Monday & Tuesday nights when we were there. Great location as a base for anywhere in Co. Sligo.

    Nice old-style hotel.
    Very friendly staff.

Breakfast isn’t great, a fry kept warm but mostly shrivelled up.
Guinness in the bar doesn’t taste the best either.

Grand for a nights sleep, suggest breakfast across the road.

It's your average run of the mill hotel. decor rooms and bar are laid out well, very rustic old style and really nice feel to it.
It's the small things that are missing, such as a bottle of water in the rooms, or locks on the lockers in the changing rooms that really let's it down.

A little bit of ongoing maintenance and a little more management and this hotel has great potential. Also pretty pricey for a pint in the bar too compared to most places.

    We had a lovely stay.
I worried a bit that it was next to the train station (and our room faced directly at the station!), but trains here are so quiet that it was zero problem.
Very nice shower, very nice and roomy room, and a wonderful sitting room with unbelievably comfortable wing backed chairs.
    Highly recommended

Beautiful salon, friendly staff, well located, good wifi close to the train station. Only the city map provided could be much better.
