Excellent location to train station and tram. They let us keep a lot of luggage there when we went to Galway for several days. Excellent, fun pub just a few doors down. Yes, it was a bit rough around the edges, but our experience (we had six in our party) was that it was clean and the staff very friendly. And it was inexpensive.

The staff was very helpful, but the hotel itself was a bit run down. The twin beds were decent. There is no water pressure and the hot water runs out very quickly. Again, the staff was very helpful and accommodating so that made it worth it.

Amazing staff. Breakfast included. Comfortable and clean room with a comfy bed. Nice looking bathroom with a very large shower. Recommended for a stay in Dublin. 10 minutes walk from Guinness storehouse and pheonix park.

I loved this hotel! The location was very easy to access from Transit - it's close to Heuston Station. It's near a few shops and restaurants, and it's on a quiet street corner. The room was spacious and well equipped.

Good location, but you need to know that the door is on the side, not the front. Receptionist seemed disinclined to help us, but ended up doing so. No free parking unless it's late at night and the "hotel bar" is for guests only. This place is small, so it was sad. Room was clean, but we were given a handicap room. Which was super awkward to get into from the lift, not sure who designed that.

A bit rough around the edges is probably the best way to describe the Phoenix Park Hotel. It's very well located just on the edge of town and the park. There is a terrific local pub only a few doors down which helps. Sadly we found the room was a bit scruffy, and the hotel noisy overall. I was woken each morning by the upstairs neighbors moving about. However it did what was needed in Dublin. A place to sleep off the hangover!

Brilliant budget hotel, next to Heuston, Phoenix Park & with great local amenities. + Massive rooms in a historical building, free breakfast that actually isn't advertised!!! - Broken hair dryer, missing shower door, creaky upstairs floorboards = hearing everything/wake when your upstairs neighbors get up. But, it genuinely is a great hotel & for the price/location, we'll be back!!

The staff was very nice and they were kind enough to store our large luggage for a night while we were gone on an excursion. However, we had no hot water one morning, and the rooms on the street side we're very, very noisy. Also our "ground floor" rooms were in fact up a total of a dozen steps (2 staircases) without elevator. Tiny rooms, old furnishings, but pretty clean, pretty good beds and linens, and of course very convenient to the train station, which was our main focus.
