Horrible hotel. The worst. Staff are arrogant and not helpful. The lift wasn't working (has been out of order for 8 months now and still no plans of having it fixed). Room is very dirty. Bed is very uncomfortable. Loud noise coming from the club. Fire alarm went off twice during the night (1am and 2am). On our 2nd day there was no hot water for the whole day. Seen 3 couples who arrived in the hotel but there were no rooms available for them because they overbooked. No apologies given to the customers. They just sent them away.
Very horrible experience with this hotel. Don't be fooled by the nice photos on their website.response / report this review -

Decrepit accommodations in seedy location at a reasonable price. Bar downstairs clearly audible. Uncomfortable, sloping mattress. Don't be taken in by cute room pictured on TripAdvisor.

Good location but next to a late bar and incredibly loud, it was like I had the dj in the room with me while I tried to sleep

Staff were helpful, but nothing "stand out" about the hotel..don't get me wrong, it was comfy and clean, just a few things could do with fixing up! Great location and worked for the 2 nights we needed!!

I'd give zero stars if that was possible. WORST hotel experience ever (by far). So bad that I checked out after the first night. Staff was friendly, but the rooms are in such poor condition. Price is horrendous for what you get.
Furthermore, the hotel is extremly loud (because next to a pub), which is even worse at the weekend. This is not mentioned on the website.
I can only warn everybody! THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!!response / report this review -

I arrived at the riverhouse hotel, the hotel was smelly and filthy as I entered, I carried my bags up three flights of stairs, when I entered the room it was filthy, the bed had brown stains all over, the wall had been broken over bed, the room smelled really bad, the toilet was filthy, the bath was brown and scum all over the bathroom, the walls were mouldy, the desk the tea facilities were on was filthy, the bin wasn't empty. I did not stay here I got my bags and told her I was leaving as I was coming down 2 people arrived at reception, she passed them there key and rushed them out of reception, I told her the room was filthy, and she pretended 2 looked shocked, I explained that the room had nt been cleaned for months, I told her she would nt be charging me, so she did nt, and I was lucky 2 gt a clean hotel around the corner, be warned people, do NOT stay here, god no's wat you would catch in dat hotel

Average rooms, nothing fancy. Great location but can be very noisy due to its location and bar/club downstairs. More of a B&B or hostel than a hotel. Would recommend for people looking to enjoy Dublin night life on a tight budget.

Stayed over the weekend in this hotel and for the money paid it's a really nasty one. The only positive things I can say is that the reception staff were friendly and it's situated in the centre of the city, close to many attractions however:
- lifts was out of order
- old and dirty atmosphere
- window was cracked and a night stand light wasn't working
- mould surrounding the windows
- very noise area, right next to a club that plays music until at 3-4am and the windows do a terrible job of keeping out the noise
- walls made of cardboard, you can hear everybody moving about the hotel, entering rooms, closing windows etc
- very expensive for what you get

Simple straightforward service. Easy to book and no problems checking out. Fast, efficient and reasonably priced.
