This hotel is just a few minutes from Shannon Airport and just off the Shannon to Limerick road. Loads of parking, with easy access.
The Hotel is newly refurbished with rooms finished to a very high standard. They are spacious and spotless clean. The food in the restaurant served up without delay, and very good value. The breakfast was first class.
For a mid week night there was a great atmosphere in the large comfortable bar, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This hotel has just been awarded a 4 star status, and rightly so.

A real friendly comfortable hotel. Good food, value and service. Would recommend rather than staying nearer to the airport.
All anyone could ask for and plenty of easy access to all that is needed. Easy parking.

Friendly staff. We had dinner in the restaurant and my fish and chips were soggy (an extra disappiontment in Ireland), but my husband's noodle dish was good. Breakfast had a good selection at the buffet and omelet was very good. The rooms were a bit worn, the beds were soft and did not provide a hair blower or wash clothes. Convenient location to the airport.

Wonderful hotel with even more wonderful staff. After an exhausting trip, they were able to pull some strings and allow an early check-in so we could get some rest. I can't recommend this place enough.

This entire staff was inviting , helpful and overall amazing. The food here is beyond what I expected and the bar and lounge area made me feel like I was right at home. Room was a nice size and clean. Breakfast that is included is very good, not your typical continental breakfast. If you need a taxi make sure to ask for Bob at the front desk you won't be dissapointed with his Irish hospitality.

An absolutely beautiful Hotel with a lovely homely feel. I found the staff and the bar food, were both exceptional! I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the Oakwood Hotel and will make sure to return in the future!

Wonderfully quaint hotel with excellent staff and authentic Irish feel. Bar and restaurant are awesome. The amenities need a little upgrading, but overall the stay was excellent.

Very nice hotel, although some colleagues were also staying & their rooms were in a different room that wasn't as nice. Appears to be undergoing some redecoration & updating, where this has been done it's lovely. Friendly staff & nice breakfast

Beautiful hotel great location (close enough to other POI).
Rooms are beautiful and big, plenty of space and nice queen or king size beds!
hotel has all the amenities you need, food is great and the bar is nice and reasonably priced.
just across from them (few minutes walk) is a shopping center and opposite direction to the shopping center is a aviation museum.response / report this review -

Lovely hotel, friendly staff with a family atmosphere. Stayed several times and recently had our wedding here, which was a great success!!
