The pumpkin and almond risotto was lovely, pulled pork on brioche bap, my wife had the ribs all very tasty.

We had an overnight stay just outside of Dungarvan and came down to town for lunch and dinner. We had seafood chowder and slow braised ribs. Both excellent. Very kind staff too.

Proper gastro food cooked to order it's not easy to find a real family run Irish pub these days . But Merrys is one that is well worth the drive.

I've just had the best food I can remember. Better than Michelin starred places I've eaten at at a quarter of the price. Understated menu belies the quality of the food. We had the Chicken and risotto and the Pork belly and mash. Sounds nice yet when it comes it's incredible. Not your normal pub food by any means!

Tasty food and beverages! Stopped in after a long day of traveling. Felt like what you would expect an Irish pub to be. Service was great and friendly, and it was fun to watch passersby on the street from our booth window. Hope to return some day!

Had a meal 2 Sunday's back, late review! 5 adults ,1 baby. Very poor choice on menus offered, 2 chicken Supremes ordered, what came out? Dry roasted breast of chicken!! Apparently chicken supreme now comes like that. Also ordered, belly of pork, it was OK, one Burger , really €15 for a Burger!!!. Now for the baby! We asked for a baby bowl!! Usually most places will offer, potatoes, veg & gravy mashed in the bowl. But not here! Garlic potato, and for gravy? Mushroom soup, I ask you?..oh the veg, yes!!! Broccoli! It must have been shown a picture of water, because it wasn't boiled or steamed..let's say we will not be going back for food, but it has a nice looking bar, and I'm sure others will disagree with us 4 adults and one baby.

We arrived here hungry and very wet after the weather turned while we were walking. The fire helped dry us out and the generous portions of food had us warm and happy in no time. I'd heard it had a good reputation and it is justified
