Great food and atmosphere. Lovely staff and reasonable prices. Interesting features - a stove with flu going across the bar, a snug and features from the old store. As you would expect, plenty of equestrian mementos.

An unusual mixture of undertaker and pub, McCarthy's serves great and reasonably priced food, along with a well-poured pint. There is a background that serves as more of restaurant, as well as a main area if a more pubby vibe is preferred. The service is both efficient and friendly, and the old legacy of the place adds intrigue. All around a great experience

I've only been a few times but steeped in heritage and tradition and feels like the clandestine soul of Tipperary and old Ireland. A place with more secrets than 1000 lifetimes and all the richer for its strong roots.

Believe other pubs around Ireland were gradually done up as the 1900s progressed. This place really retained its origins and noe flourishes as possibly one of the best pubs in the world. And on a good night here I imagine few would argue

A fine example of a traditional Irish pub with a warmth that makes it stand out from the average pub. Plenty of options if you like beer, lager or whiskey. Lovely staff. Above average lunch menu. If you are in Fethard, this is the place to go.

Incredibly charming spot with an unchanged 19th century interior. It really does have a unique vibe. Good food options for such a small place like Fethard. Good value too in my opinion in comparison to Ireland's cities and bigger towns.

No information about restaurant opening hours in their website, only the ones on Google Maps, which indicate that the place is open all day. But lunch is only served until 15h. It would be great to be this info available in the website.
