Amazing retreat. Heidi greeted us. A warm lovely woman. I next met Alex, he is the naughty one, but the food expert. Finally Jon the designer of the unique rooms. They are a wonderful team and know how to make you feel special in a very special part of Ireland. I do hope they will let me and my friends come back. Regret was that I was only there for 2 breakfasts! And I should have dined there one night but did not know that you need to book 24 hours in advance. Next time I will be better prepared.

This place cancelled my stay for no reason. They apparently booked the same room to multiple people. This is unacceptable even for a no star hotel, I do not understand how they can claim to be 5 star. What has upset me is that they didn't call me to apologise, but to say that I had to cancel it myself. Since then, they wrote again to apologise, but it was a wrong thing nevertheless.

We stayed at Ferndale B&B for 3 nights,it was fantastic.The room was so big and spacious,the breakfast was great with a fantastic selection. Jon and Alex made us feel so welcome. We definitely will make a return trip,

Without doubt the Ferndale is the best B&B we have ever stayed in Ireland. The hosts Jon and Alex are welcoming, hospitable and fun. The room was very comfortable and clean. Great views over Keel bay. Fabulous breakfasts. All of which contributed to a great weekend away. A must do experience if you are heading to Achill.

We would like to thank Jon and Alex - our fantastic hosts for a memorable experience. The rooms are unique, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is yummy. We also stayed here for dinner and the food was simply delicious. The food is prepared from the freshest ingredients and had a very particular mix of flavors from around the world.

1 Pm late checkout makes it just a perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend. The views are breathtaking.

If you want a little break from the average - visit Ferndale and you will be pleasantly surprised!

Just returned from a glorious 2 week vacation in Ireland and my very favorite B&B was Ferndale. As I usually stay at another B&B in the area while vacationing in Achill, I tried this one and I will ALWAYS return to Ferndale. The hosts go above and way, way beyond in their gracious service. I would highly recommend staying in Ferndale. The views are breath taking, the food was gourmet quality and exquisitely decorated rooms are fun and very comfortable. Happy memories I have being here!

Fantastic Views and Owners! We had booked for one night, but after meeting the owners and seeing the amazing room and majestic views, we immediately booked a second night. Breakfast the next day was something to be remembered. Excellent baking and food selection expertly prepared using first class ingredients. I was blown away!
