  The Old Mill is in a great location, right by the center of the city. The room and bathroom were clean, and the showers were warm. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and gave us many recommendations for restaurants and things to do.

  The location is good and the hostel is OK, but the service they provide is 0. The personnel isn't friendly and helpful. They can't provide any information and don't even try to do it.When there is the problem with the Internet they send you to the hotel nearby instead of restarting their own equipment. There is no place to leave luggage. And after check out at 10 a.m. if you leave later you can't even have a cup of your own tea in the kitchen or use the toilet. The girl at the reception is very rude. Better to work in a prison with her approach than in a hostel.

  Great value for money !
  
  I booked this place at the last minute so my expectations were low but I was quite impressed, there was a clean modern communal kitchen so that kept costs down, the hot water was on all night so you could have a shower at any time.
  
  The mattresses were quite new aswell so thats a plus.
  
  Despite the age of the building the upstairs room was well insulated and warm.

  We stayed as a family and so had a room to ourselves with five beds in it, but considering we were paying €25 a head this was a very poor deal, at effectively €125 for the room. The location is hard to beat but we will never stay here again, we would rather travel in from outside town and actually stay in a place that feels a little more homely with an ensuite bathroom for the family room as is common in other hostels like that in Kong and Leenane. The final touch was that they were unable to take payment in any other form than cash, and we don't usually wander round with €125 in cash spare—how can this be acceptable in this day and age when I can pay for a coffee with digital payment? They waived this away with an excuse about the owner being in Dublin, but I struggle to see how this is an acceptable rationale for being unable to except digital payment, haven't they heard of PayPal?

  The Old Mill is a very cozy and nice Hostel, I felt welcome right away when walking in. The staff is very friendly and the building is beautiful. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are warm. I had a good night sleep!

  For the price it's great. Kitchens fully stocked, beds are Clean. Main complaint would be the cold 5 second showers That you need to keep restarting.

  Very handy place to stay and right in the middle of town. Stayed here for Gaelforce so it was great to be right beside the finish line for the hot shower!

  Good Location, Clean Bathromms, Very Friendly service, Prices are cheaper than the b&bs but expensive in comparison to other hostels.
  The Kitchen was great and the breakfast was awesome (the homemade soda bread was the best i ever tasted)

  Bad experience.
  
  1. They wouldn't let me check in when I arrived at 4pm as the rest of group wasn't there, they weren't arriving till 9pm. Stag or not, this was just unfair and terrible. I believe it was the manager I met on arrive, a smile would have been nice too.
  2. They moved our belongings out of our room without properly notifying all of us. We thought we were robbed, they moved all our belongings to another room - inconvenient as we all had valuables lying around. Really badly communicated, staff weren't helpful either when they misplaced my laptop charger which took some time to find.
  3. Codes on the doors constantly changed and when you check at the reception it was unmanned.
  
  Book elsewhere, even if it costs a little more. I'll do Airbnb next time for sure and not here.
