The place is fantastic and a must see on most lists. The top part of diamond hill trail is closed currently for fixing the stone pathway. Should be open in a few weeks.
Beautiful place to go for a quick trek. If you go in the end of the fall or the beginning of the spring there are snowy mountains so, if you don't mind the cold, it makes the trip even better. May be on the winter is too icy, windy and snowy to trek.
Amazing views and scenic trails. Lots of animals on the road there so be careful while driving. Didn't get to see everything we would have liked because we didn't budget enough time.
I spent a wonderful day at the park, completing the Diamond Hill walk, and then having a small meal at the tea room. The grounds are stunningI had a great time.
Climbing upper Diamond Hill was tough for me, but I'm not in particularly good shape. I'd say the view is worth getting in shape for. Unforgettable.
On a good weather day this is a great outing. There are nice scenic trails and you can choose which one you want to do depending on time availability and fitness. Only thing is you should have some insect repellent on you. We had hard time without insect repellent crossing the lower diamond hill trail.
Nice little visitor center with a cafe and restrooms. To hike up the mountain is definitely worth it. You get a perfect overview of the landscape around you.
Such a beautiful place! Definitely take a late afternoon drive and if you have the time I'm sure a hike would be worth it! We drove the purple trail which was so worth it! Sheep everywhere but so neat to see up close and walking around!
Take the figure 8 route (intersects at Ma'am Cross) around the park and just take it all in. The fjord was one of the best stops with spectacular views.
Easy hike. Takes 2 hrs to do the whole thing. It's free. Not much to see, a lot of moss and peat grass. If you've travelled and hiked in other places in the world, this one is worth skipping. You would be bored with the scenery.
Such a wonderful place to be. Free from the shackles of everyday city life.
Wonderfull natural parc need 1h and half if you want cross to the top and come back
Climbing Diamond hill in the Connemara national park on a winter's afternoon was the perfect tonic for the post-Christmas blues. The walk to the top is a relatively easy but nonetheless physical challenge. Bring warm layers and good hiking shoes, big boots not needed as the trail is stepped all the way with stone flags or wooden walkways. Great bathrooms and tearoom at base, free parking and outstanding views at top. Suitable for all ages and don't let the weather put you off.
