We had a perfect stay at Clontarf before heading into the countryside. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. We arrived earlier on our flight and they had a free upgrade available for us at 11am - we thought we would just have them hold our bags. After a 16 hour trip this was music to our ears.
The breakfast buffet in the Faranheit restaurant was the best I have had anywhere in its price range out of hundreds of great hotels. Plenty of fresh fruit, breakfast meats and vegetables along with a huge amount of pastries, several cereals, 3-4 yogurts. We got there right at opening and everything was great.response / report this review -

A marvelous place to stay. Truly unique. I have stayed here twice now and both times have been absolutely fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful; the rooms are gorgeous and immaculate. I would highly recommend staying here!

My wife and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary. Everything was fantastic. The staff was amazing. The front desk was more than happy to arrange transportation and offer suggestions for sites and attractions. They gave us a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience. Would absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful experience.

Came down to get Barfood on a very busy Saturday evening. There was a queue for tables but a super efficient Manager (he wore glasses - didn't get his name) was proactive and upbeat about getting us a table. He was very helpful and upbeat and a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was a problem. Service was very efficient. Food was great. Super ambience and a musician setting up as we were leaving - a great touch for a Saturday night get together. Highly recommend.

We just got back from our Euro trip and thankfully only have amazing things to say about the hotels we stayed in.
We booked this hotel because my wife really wanted to stay in a castle! This worked out well for us because it has the look and feels of both a castle and hotel.
The staff was friendly and very helpful, the breakfast was decent (croissants, bacon, sausage, cheese, danishes).
We went to a nearby pub (10 minute walk) called The Yacht and the food there was amazing!
The hotel is quite a bit of ways from the city centre but you can get there from the 130 bus (40min ride) that drops you in front of Abbey Theatre.
Beautiful hotel and we would def visit again!response / report this review -

Gorgeous hotel. Have you ever wanted to stay in a castle? This is the place. Rooms were very reasonably priced considering the quality of the hotel. Great staff too!

Clontarf Castle is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history. The staff were very helpful. The room was very nice although if you want anything larger than a full bed the only option is to have two twin beds pushed together. We ate in the Fahrenheit restaurant, our starters and desserts were fantastic and our mains were just okay. I think they rotate the menu seasonally but the cauliflower veloute and the salmon starter are both delicious if you get the chance to order it. I would definitely stay there again if I was in Dublin.

We had a double room suite that had an excellent layout. Bed was great. Bathroom was clean. Staff was super helpful and very friendly. Adjusting the room temp was a bit confusing. Walking distance to restaurants and even into Dublin city center if you wanted to. Approx 15 to 20 min cab ride to temple bar. We didn't eat dinner there and left before breakfast started so i couldn't say anything about their dining options. Overall, a beautiful hotel that I wish we could have spent more time in.

Had a fantastic stay at the Clontarf Castle Hotel. It was easy to get to from the airport, and close to downtown Dublin. So much to do nearby, while still being away from the hustle & bustle of a big city. Loved the Knight's Bar and breakfast at Fahrenheit. Overall, it was a lovely stay at the castle.

My husband and I have had an incredible experience here! We are on our honeymoon and the Clontarf staff has gone above and beyond to make it special. Marcello was amazing, and the rest of the staff did everything to ensure that we have a great visit. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for 5-star service.

Lovely hotel with stunning exterior. Very well maintained inside with clean rooms and friend staff. Stayed for three nights and had food in the bar one evening. Our waitress Elaine was very friendly and the food was top class but not too pricey

The hotel is in a nice suburb of Dublin. It is about a 15 minute taxi ride away from the city centre. The rooms are decent sized, and the accommodations are good. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is very good, although it is a little spendy.

Loved this place. Awesome exterior and lobby area. Small gym which is ok, rooms were cute, but slightly dingy. Really enjoyed my stay overall.

The decor is fantastic, the food is amazing and the prices very reasonable for the type of venue that it is.
The staff are also incredibly friendly, courteous and accommodating.

Really beautiful hotel built around the ruins of an old castle. The main lobby is gorgeous, with armor, big thrones, and weapons on display. The rooms are big and spacious. Service was excellent. I would definitely stay here again
