I brought an Active Retirement group of 14 for two night's last weekend.
We were treated royally by Ann Marie and staff. Food excellent and bedrooms very comfortable.
We danced the nights away to their magnificent Piano player.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

You know it was a good stay when everyone talks about it after leaving. Highly recommend to stay at this location. Accomodation was fairly well maintained. The facilities was very good with the swimming pool and gym. The Hotel Restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The food was gorgeous (one of the leanest and tasty medium rare steak) and the service could not be more homely. Absolutely fantastix and enjoyable.

The nicest staff I have ever come across in a hotel! Was made feel so welcome and special! The apartment we stayed in was lovely and had everything we needed! Plus we were given a welcome pack with cereal, bread milk etc which was so nice! The pool was lovely too and loads to do in the area. Will defo come back, so enjoyable!

Simple yet very professionally run hotel. Rooms are new and beddings comfortable. Heating is very good. Staff are very friendly and I felt well taken care of during my stay. Food in the station bar opposite is absolutely fabulous.

Very friendly staff, great breakfast. Bar across the road where you can have dinner is awesome. Again quality staff. Is stable in its 3 star rating..rooms are comfortable, clean..not fancy. TV choices or movies very limited so bring your laptop. If they had some HDMI cables to connect laptop to TVs in room would be awesome. Anyway top marks for this price range.

If I tried to find fault with Clifden Station house I couldn't.From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with a smile and shown to our room. This hotel is warm and our bed was so comfortable. . The staff in this establishment are so helpful and friendly and the lady I dealt with on reception (. Susan) couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. I'm not at all surprised it's so busy and there is a lovely atmosphere the second you walk inside. Everything is near at hand and you are in the town. You can have Dinner in the dining room or if you want more casual you just walk across the road to their other restaurant. We went to the one across the road and had a delicious meal of sirloin steaks mushrooms and onions witch side salads . Their apple pie is scrumptious. Many of the four star hotels we have stayed at just couldn't compare with this three star hotel in anyway. They have got the little touches down to a fine art and it's always the little things that count. All their staff can't do enough for you. Really appreciated everything and we will be back. !!

We were a large group (24 people) on a university research trip. We stayed at the Station House for five days. The accommodations at the Station House, as well as their hospitality, were exceptional. I was really amazed to see all of the staff working as a team to take care of us. When someone was asked a question, they took care of it, rather than passing it off on someone else. Everyone was prepared to do any job needed. We woke up and ended every day to smiles and warm greetings. I personally appreciated being able to focus on the projects and not the logistics.
Thank you so much for being so flexible with our large group, when we needed a meeting space after breakfast, for lunch, or in the evenings, you all made it happen. On behalf of all of the project staff and students, thank you so much for being a huge part of the success of our project.response / report this review -

Not a bad place for a bite to eat if you're visiting Clifden but perhaps they should spend a little more time proof reading their menu, it only takes one letter 'e' to ruin a dish.

You are given the most friendly welcome upon arrival.
Staff are friendly & extremely helpful. The hotel is perfect every facility around you.
Food is excellent!
The atmosphere nowhere could beat. Hygiene perfect!
Extremely reasonable!
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!
Totally enjoyed our stay!

Great food and atmosphere. Best carbonara I've ever had. Yum! Chicken goujons in here have been a favourite of mine and many of my friends for the last 5 years and continue to have same great recipe
