  Fabulous venue for a wedding, lovely picturesque gardens, period features and excellent staff throughout. Some areas would be difficult to navigate in a wheel chair (we had a baby buggy and had to lift it up and down steps to get to the restaurant) and there wasn't a bar in the main hotel building which was a bit inconvenient. I'm told the beer wasn't too good either! However the food and service was excellent and we couldn't fault our room - a travel cot was provided for the baby and the room was spacious, spotless & comfortable.

  I was recently at a wedding at Barberstown Castle and I have to say that it was absolutely top class. The waiting staff were extremely courteous and quick, the usual delays at wedding dinners did not occur once and the food was sumptious and plentifull, seconds being offered to all. The same with breakfast the next day.
  
  All of the hotel staff, from the receptionists to the managers were very pleasant and the rooms were really beautiful, spacious and clean and the bathrooms were the same. The wedding venue was excellent and well thought out with lots of access to the outside areas and the gardens were also beautifully kept and very pretty.
  
  I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all.

  Delighted to host my wedding here over 11 years now. Beautiful backdrop, steeped in history. Love the gardens. Recently attended a family wedding and delighted to re live the experience. Food, staff and facilities top class. Full of charm and grandeur.

  Went to a fabulous wedding here. The surroundings are beautiful. The banquet hall is authentically medieval. The food was great!

  I attended a wedding here recently with my wife and we enjoyed it greatly. The hotel is lovely, the rooms comfortable and quiet. The staff were courteous and attentive. The food was delicious. We look forward to a return visit - particularly encouraged by the 50 euro gift voucher we received at check out.

  Beautiful location. Dinner was excellent. One of the few places that actually knows how to cook a steak. Beautiful living accommodation with features that are old school, like pull string toilets. Few issues.. Large 4 ft cracks in the walls, curtains don't close, no conditioner with the shampoo. With breakfast, the rashers and poached egg were overcooked. They have a trouser press but no ironing board for shirts
