We had a great time. The house itself is near Athy, so it makes a great base to get to Wicklow, Carlow, and Kilkenny among other places. A little over an hour from Dublin it makes a great getaway. Lovely people, great food. One of the best brown breads I've had in years.

My family and I spent 2 nights in Dollardstown House recently. Approaching the house along the winding driveway we were met at the door by the owner Andrew with his welcoming smile and wonderful charm. After getting settled we enjoyed homemade scones (made 3 hours earlier), tea and coffee and a lovely conversation with Andrew. The house is a beautiful period home and both it and the surrounding gardens are beautifully maintained. The rooms were impeccably presented, warm and cosy. Both Andrew and Antoinette couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying there again in the future and couldn't recommend Dollardstown house enough for a peaceful escape with a typical Irish welcome.

We had a fantastic break away, in a fantastic house with great hosts. The house and gardens are natural and peaceful. The welcome and experience was truly enjoyable. The furniture comfortable and a quality breakfast. We would highly recommend to anyone.
