We stayed here for 4 nights and it was just what we needed. The room and bathroom is clean. A little outdated, but we don't really mind. For breakfast you get an egg and toast and always fresh coffee, which we liked. There is a nice garden and they have a real sweet dog. It is just a 2 min walk to the market and good restaurants. The owner can help you plan your trip and also knows the local guides which can tour you around the Toraja villages. Upfront we did not know how long we planned to stay, but this was no problem for them, we could stay as long as we liked. I Would recommend Wisma Monton!

Was there for 3 nights end of July 2017. loved the room and the nice balconies where you could rest in the afternoon!!! i picked a hot water room the price is too little of a difference from a non hot water room on the 3rd floor! Enjoyed the company of the owner and his wife! great breakfast and friendly people!

Extremely forgot for years. Dirty. Cold light and sad as hell. Looks like a prison. Some rooms don't have hot water. Most hotels around are the same way But some others are a little better. And it's expensive for what you get. 250 to 300. In sengkang we got a 4 star hotel for the same price.

Was a lovely stay and pretty cheap at 150,000 IDR - 250,000 IDR for a budget room. You can upgrade to rooms on 3rd floor which have hot shower and much better WiFi..

I stayed three nights with wisma Monton. Nice owners and pleasant services. Very good location: view to the mountains, central in rantepao, close to Main Street and restaurants, in a small street

Very clean hostel, wide rooms with bathroom. Laundry service too for 10.000 rupies/kg. For us, the best "included breakfast" that we have tried in all Indonesia: coffee with fresh milk, tomato juice, bananas, toasts with fried egg, butter and jam. The only 2 cons are that: if you want Wi-Fi you have to go to the top of the hostel in the restaurant's place (because there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms) , and the other, the cold water of the shower. So, in conclusion, I would recommend it.

Nice place to stay in Toraja. The staff is nice and welcoming. The rooms are simple but clean. It's a bit expensive but overall I would recommend.
