Amazing place, modern, fancy, very good style in the interiors, the food in the villa and in the heritage awesome. The view of Borobudur from thw villa is charming. Its really one of the best places I have ever stay in my life.

Plataran Borobudur resort and spa is a very nice place to relax and enjoy your break near Borobudur area. The villa is very spacious and beautifullly designed and very well maintained. Bed is very comfortable, private pool and the view of the mountain and Borobudur are really nice. On the good weather, we can watch beautiful sunrise over the mountain and Borobudur. The Patio restaurant on the resort is also very nice and serving delicious meals, especially the Indonesian traditional dishes. Services provided at both the restaurant and resorts are very good, and they are also very attentive to our needs. The only thing not up to expectation is the gym facilities. This petite gym is completely not adequate nor acceptable facilities for a resort like this. I hope they will pay much better attention to it and improving the gym to acceptable standard for a five stars hotel and resort.

I had 4 services done by two different therapists
- facial was poor quality, therapist did a bad job with extractions, then got oil in my eye, was unable to find basic pressure points
- manicure is the worst I have ever gotten, the therapist was clearly not trained at all, did not file my nails or trimmed my cuticles, and try to apply polish with top coat first, she did 1 hand but it was done so poorly I had to stop her
Massage - just okay
Scrub - 30 mins treatment was only 7 mins, scrub was applied not massage in at all.

Over all the experience was very poor and I will be writing a separate review on trip advisor so people do not waste their money

We stayed in a villa for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay overall. The resort is located on a hillock with stunning views of Borobudur Temple. The restaurant was excellent and Ibu Septi served us most of the time. We are a vegetarian family and had special food needs. She took very good care of our requirements. I used the SPA twice and they were really good.

Couple of suggestions:

1. The toilet is as big as a small bedroom. However, lack of a wash basin is actually a serious handicap. Not sure if this can be fixed.
2. In the shower area, there is no place to keep soaps and shampoos. Suggest that the hotel provide a small storage area.
3. The lighting in the room was not sufficient. Suggest that the hotel provide additional lighting provisions.
4. Since it was in the middle of wooded area, there was a lot of noise (within the room) especially in the nights from small reptiles like gecko. Although we cannot see them, we know for a fact that there are inside the room since we found their poo twice on the bed. Hotel should address this issue immediately.

Very green and beautiful property and you can actually see Borobudur Temple from the hotel.. service is fast and friendly too! Very helpful! Great for weekend getaways for sure..

Every aspect of my stay at Plataran Borobudur was terrific. The villa and common areas were well-designed and maintained. The food was excellent. The experiences within and beyond the resort were well-thought out. The staff and service were outstanding!

While staff was friendly and polite, they didn't have knoledge and experience in their jobs.
I just feel that for the hefty price I paid for the 3 nights stay a lot more should have been offered.
Instead it felt like all have been trained to suck out even more money in every possible way.

Amazing food! Just went for dinner and it was incredible food! Pricy but very well worth the money spent! Would recommend going around sunset to get a good view of the temple!
