The hotel was wonderful with its service, its setting and the tranquility. It has a rice field on one side and jungle views on the other. If you book a pool villa, ask for the jungle view as all the villas are configurated differently and when you're swimming you want to be able to look out into the jungle. Well we did anyway.
The only down side was the quality of the food- average. The location is not within walking distance to the main town of Ubud but the hotel offers a free shuttle service.response / report this review -

Booked the romantic private dinner for our anniversary. Absolutely amazing and worth every dollar. Beautiful view and dinner set up. Friendly and professional staff. Well maintained and fancy pants resort from what we were able to see.

We stayed there in villa no 212 for our honeymoon from 17 to 22 April 2018. Our vacation was truly amazing. Personal is so polite and positive. The villa was exciting. Peaceful view, clean room, wonderful bathroom and shower. I’m very excited! There are a lot of spots to make wonderful photos, to make ceremonies and romantic dinners. I recommend everyone to visit this fairytale place!!

Tranquility in the middle of the clouds, stay in one of the club to enjoy whirlpool with the OH MY GOD view at the hill of Ubud. We are lucky enough to see the stargazing experience due to Nyepi Holiday where everything is a pitch dark so you can see clearly the beautiful sky of Bali.

The best choice we made for Ubud! Unlike the overall Bali experience, Ubud and specifically Kamandalu were the best decision. Service levels, hospitality, catering to individual needs and support for tourists and guests was top notch! Can't go wrong choosing this place.

Everything was amazing!! The start were very friendly and attentive! The rooms were impeccable, always clean and serviced regularly. I would definitely recommend for anyone coming to Ubud!

Nice quit, beautiful hotel. The views are amazing. Staff is genuinely friendly and very helpful. Food is delicious and comes at a great price. Alcohol is quit expensive 55000 rp for a local beer and 110000 rp for a cocktail, wine tops it all and is 140000 per glass. Would strongly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful settings.
Two things let me lower the rating:
1. We had bad luck with our room (305). It stank like hell after moth balls. We complained. They sprayed something - which didn't help at all. The toilet was constantly re-filling and made noises. The next day we asked for a room change due to the smell. We luckily could. Maybe you should stay away from room 305
2. We had dinner and what could go wrong went wrong. It took ages until our orders were delivered and then 1 order was missing. So they offered us a ball of lemon-sorbet as an apology (which was actually part of the dinner but they forgot to serve also and used it now as an apology). After 30 minutes the last order arrived (a simple sandwich). Forgotten orders should have the highest priority in the kitchen - half an hour for a simple sandwich please! All plates were luke-warm on arrival The chosen wine was not on stock actually they only had the Hatten wine - I think. So, don't show on your map, what you don't have. Please! Well, it was the first and last time we ate there
The pool area is a bit exposed to the sun but the infinity pool with a view into the jungle compensates for that.
The morning buffet is a big plus for this hotel! We enjoyed it!response / report this review -

All-in-one resort. Friendly service albeit slightly slow. The infinity pool is serene and with a stunning view of the rainforest.
Resort has its own rice terraces if you're lazy to make a trip to the infamous Tengalalang, this should suffice. Yoga session in the morning is very enjoyable. The instructor was great!
Villas are stunning and very comfortable- one minor complaint I have is the outdoor bath. It was raining and I had to bath in the tub, water pressure was terrible. Bathing outside (if weather allows) is comfortable though.

This is definitely the place for you to have you and your thought, or maybe with your love one. This place is amazing, big room, great view, nice atmosphere, love the breakfast and not to mention the infinity pool. LOVE IT. The service was great, very reasonable price for kinda place like this, they also provide shuttle service to ubud center. But you can just go take awalk in this hotel. It is quite a big resort, should enjoy every corner of it.

Very nice hotel with beautiful surrounding area, warm hospitality from helpfull hotel staff, and very reasonable food price with a great taste at the restaurants. I recommend the hotel for couple to have a relaxing holiday atmosphere.
