Nice hotel and so ARTISTIC I loved it. Worth the price. I liked the artistic touch in the lobby and guest room doors! Breakfast was fabulous, didn't expect there would be western food cause my room rate was relatively low. I was impressed.

Great little hotel. The staff are really remarkable, they get out of their way to make your experience a good one. Really enjoyed these lovely people. The location is great with lots of restaurants nearby. The room was clean and check in easy. Value for money.

Staying here for 2 weeks and always feel at home during my stay. The hotel is not a big hotel with classy environment surroundings with several good restaurant nearby. Room is clean and the staffs are polite and helpful. Food is good and especially i like their coffe at Rocca cafe. Very pleasant stay

Budget hotel, harga sangat murah, cukup buat meninap jika dana terbatas atau hanya untuk menumpang tidur. Beberapa kamar cukup kecil sehingga untuk orang-orang tertentu mungkin tidak nyaman. Breakfast sangat baik untuk harganya. Design hotel menarik, sangat artsy, cocok untuk anak muda.

The room was spacious and I appreciate the cleanliness of the room. But please do pay more attention to the staffs for they feel a little bit untrained in hospitality. Overall, it was a nice stay.

I like this hotel. Though it is far from train station. Very clean room and nice modern hip interior design. There are happy vibes everywhere. I can see here the Indonesian modern art movement front line. Quite enjoyable stay in happy atmosphere.

Very badly managed hotel. First they did not answer my questions about airport transfer I sent through my booking app plus email. When I checked in, there was a DJ playing music outside, so loud you could not even hear each other. Noise even got to 5th floor rooms. Rooms are little worn plus noise from the street. At 6:30 in the morning they turned in the music in the tiled aisles outside the room which you could hear inside. Seems they really give a s@#$ about the comfort of their guests!

I stayed for one night with my family, we booked two. The service was reallyy good, so friendly, got some infuse water for welcome drinks, the breakfast was fine for us, live music (at that time : modern keroncong) on the evening, and the hotel’s concept was unique since they painted almost every walls with mural or some sort of like that. Overall we really enjoy and might go back to stay here :)

When I was here, I just join a workshop. The atmosphere is simply good, some artsy-touch in every corner in this hotel. I love the cafe, rosca bar! When the sun is dawn, it's very nice to having a cup of tea or coffee and maybe some beer with friends.

I'll tell you my experience and feeling to this Hotel.
Actually I didn't come to stay but to Enjoy the cafe, this hotel has cozy, amazing cafe.
I came w/ my community called English Cake (basically we do gathering while have English conversation *I'm not gonna tell more about the community).
~Here,what I love from this cafe are;
1. Artistic Wall design that has wonderful meaning (If you love art, you will love it too)
2. Almost whole entire place has Art
3. Live Music (You can sing, if you want *we sang twice at that time)
4. The food & Drink are tasty & affordable (No worry)
5. Location Easy to reach (It's nearby main road)
- I really Enjoy being there, I will come again for sure.

Conveniently located with minimart and restaurants within walking distance. Tunjungan mall is only a short 15 mins drive away and rooms are clean n well decorated. Only drawback was smoking smell in the room, else highly recommended.

The hotel is close to the city center and the shopping center. Carrying the concept of merging between hotels with art galleries is one of value added. With a cheap price for this hotel class, the services provided are exceptional.
The check in was fast, the room was comfortable and cool, the concierge was friendly, the breakfast was complete and tasty. Unfortunately on this second visit it looks like a lot of air conditioner is broken so it is rather hot while in Lobby and Restaurant. But in addition it is very convenient and suitable for business trips and foreign touristsresponse / report this review -

Great place, nice arts, superb service. The place is very clean and they fill your daily amenities continuously. The staffs are wonderfully helpful. And some contemporary arts here are really nice.
Must warn you that the place is NOT cheap. I love the RoCA Cafe here, but the price is even crazier than malls.response / report this review -

This is a lovely place to stay. Its different with the others, the hotel was designed very great, chic, and good looking. So many arts youll find at Artotel, and the rates i think its cheap for the hotel where located in center of Surabaya

The hotel looks nice. The lobby is clean and spacious. An open cafe is situated across reception hall. Since the cafe is very open, and there was a reunion event in the said cafe, the music can be heard loud and clear from 2nd floor. Fun for them, not so much for me 😟
There are plenty of places to eat outside the hotel. They are all within walking distance. Not sure if they are open late.response / report this review -

Nice hotel located fairly in the center of Surabaya. Decorations are always fresh and they keep it interesting by inviting local artists to contribute. Cafe in the lobby is also nice to hang out in.

The atmosphere is pretty amazing. The rooms are clean. Beware after opening some of the curtains, the the view can be god awful others are breathtaking. The worst part by far is the quality, price and inconsistency of the food, coupled with the soul/ eardrum shattering loudness of the music downstairs every night. If you're going to eat here, I recommend taking a short trip down the road. There are 3 great restaurants within a 5 min walking distance at maybe half the price and 10 times the taste and quality.
