Their price has been the same since 5 years back; it's 2020 now. For about S$45 per night, I'd definitely recommend this place. It's clean. Unlike other hotels of the same standard, where their room feels & smells old probably due to poor maintenance, this one doesn't. Well maintained over the years. Thumbs up for that.
Proximity is another reason why I love staying here. It's literally right beside a popular shopping location in Batam, the Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. I don't have to waste $$ on transport from hotel to mall because all I've to do is just walk into it. A taxi trip to the mall on average cost about S$7; now that's S$14 for a 2-way trip. For some, S$14 may not be much BUT for me, I can definitely get 3 movie passes at that Mall . Also, I save time getting to and from Nagoya Mall, less the traffic & congestion etc.
Oh yes! There's also a karaoke place nearby, it's just like a minute walk away. Family friendly, no hanky panky stuff.
Breakfast wise, very limited range. Probably just 2-3 local dishes, simple coffee and tea and toast. It's really good enough for me. I mean, you get what you paid for. Personally, going for higher class hotels around doesn't provide a really fantastic breakfast either. Say you're paying S$65-120/night for a 'classier' hotel for a cosier room (I'll touch on that soon) and to get a better breakfast, not worth it to me. The difference of S$20-75, trust me, bring that money to a cafe or restaurant nearby (Hello, Nagoya is just beside, remember?), you'll get much much more and food taste way better as well. Convert that amount to IDR (rupiah), I can definitely get a wonderful meal.
And right after breakfast in the Mall, I can get on with shopping right away! Heh.
I think, for most of us, we head to Batam to shop, not really to get stuck in your hotel room, right? So why pay so much just to stay in a classy & cosy room when you spend like the entire day outside to shop? Only few hours in your hotel room and then check out. Might as well get a cheap room, nearby a shopping mall and if you don't like the breakfast at Amaris, just head over to the restaurants or Cafes in the Mall then. If you are fine with the hotel's breakfast range, good for you, save more! More $$ for shopping!
You get what you pay for! The only good thing is its location; the Nagoya Hill mall is only a few steps away.
Booked a 2D1N stay in the hoteleverything is fine except for the early morning chanting which started as early as 4.30amhow to sleep? Maybe shouldn't have the speaker installed around hotels?
All staffs are friendly & helpful. Room are clean & tidy with
Strong working well air conditioner. Very convenience, just across the streets to shopping, massage spas.
Very worth for the price we pay.☺
It would be better if there is kettle to make coffee or tea in the room. Rather than have to take hot drinks and cold drinks near to the lift.
Budget hotel with convenient location in the heart of Batam. Unfortunately my room was a let down. The power went on and off several times, but I managed to sleep anyway.
The biggest mall, the Nagoya, is within walking distance. Also karaoke place and spas.
This is my 2nd time here.
Nice & comfy bed. Near to Nagoya Hill Mall & many spas. Good breakfast too.
Sure will definitely come back to this hotel if im in Batam.
Superb location and employees are very friendly. Room cleanliness can be improved. Overall no frills budget hotel that is worth a try.
No frills hotel. Rooms are quite huge for its price. King beds. Super convenient to the mall. U can go pass the shop opposite to get to Nagoya mall
Main problem: Opposite mosque. So u can hear the prayers and singing start from 5am or is it 4am? So unless u are like me, who can still meditate, u better sleep early at 10 when the mall closes else u won't get enough sleep.
There is no shower cap provided. No fridge. Safe is not the normal type u see for hotels so u need a little bit time to get used to it. Hot water is provided via the dispenser outside your room.
Reception was cool. Staff smile. 5 storey max.
The room was clean and spacious.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel location was great.
The breakfast was simple, not much variety but acceptable.
No fridge in the room.
My room is facing the Mosque so it can be very noisy most of the time.
The location is very near to the Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. Just across the street, in fact. The rooms are very basic, no frills provided. Water cooler is provided outside at each level. Bar soap and toothbrushes are given as amenities. Ironing boards and extra pillows are provided upon request and availability. Services are satisfactory. Don't expect too much for an almost SGD30 per night.
Room are clean and tidy
Very close to Nagoya plaza
Easy to get food and shopping
Easy to reach, nice place to stay, just a walk away from nagoya hill mall. Nice staff, simple breakfast.
Good location and amenities. Just a stone throw from Nagoya Hill shopping centre. Decent breakfast spread.
Room is cheap and good for its price. Free flow of tea and coffee at hotel lobby is good. Front counter Even helped us to book ferry tickets. Thumbs up for the service. And late checkout at 2pm for free.
Good location, just beside Nagoya mall.
Convenient store and massage parlour were just beside the hotel.
They even served complimentary coffee/tea and some snacks from 2-10pm.
All basic needs are met! Keep up the good service.
Amaris hotel nagoya hill mantaaap
Location is good. Price is reasonable. Get the bigger room can fit 3 adults. Will come back again bring more people. Awesome!
location was good. front office staff helpful to change ferry timings. taxi always ready. breakfast was tasty. staff always smiling and friendly. wifi strong.
Staff refused my request for extra bed even though I specifically asked for it through Pegi² website. Are y'all that incompetent to call or text me beforehand even though I already placed my phone number & email? Refusing our request is one thing, but then to lie to me promising to resolve my issue but never getting back at me about it during my whole stay is really the worst. In the end, my parents and I have to share 1 bed and we had the most restless sleep we ever had in a hotel, resulting in me falling ill. Room was nothing special and feels rather overpriced. It was crawling with ants and there was cockroach at the toilet. They're only lucky their room is fully booked because they're located across a big mall. Look a bit more and I'm sure you can find a better place to stay.
Too expensive for such room and breakfast.
Easy place for batam visitors to finding souvenirs
