Colorful collection of fresh goods. The upstairs has all souvenir booths with a lot of choose from. Good time walking around and looking/shopping. We visited in November and it was decorated with pretty Christmas lights! There are some very clean public restrooms inside but you have to pay, so make sure you have coin change on you. There is also a currency exchange booth inside. This is an essential visit on your Budapest adventure.

Loved this place!! Very easy to reach, and they were big. Quite cheap price and since it is a historic building, you can feel that there's really historical about shopping here. They mainly sell Budapest's signature hand craft and it's beautiful. Most of the seller can speak english so no worries. They also accept debit or credit card that make your shopping experience effortless. Kindly informed that this place closed around 6 pm so managing time to visit this place is a must if you don't want to miss the shopping experience here

This building is amazing and the fresh produce levels (ground floor and basement level) are very cool.
The food options are pretty decent without being amazing, my meal was in a display and then half warmed up in a microwave, so not exactly fresh.
The upper level with crafts, gifts and souvenirs is really average. It's all the same stuff, all made in China and much more expensive than at other places around Budapest.response / report this review -

I love this place! It’s so alive and the produces are very fresh. The souvenir shops on the second floor have great but similar selections. It’s a excellent place to feel like a local without hurting your wallet. The food selections on the second floor are just okay to me but definitely come here for other things this place has to offer!

Loved this market hall. It can get very busy after 11:00 am but if you get there as soon as it opens you'll usually find that it's just you and the locals. There are plenty of stalls here selling a wide variety of goods and foods. You can get fresh fruit, baked goods, goulash, fried foods, chicken, pizza The list goes on.
The prices are all pretty good too, as long ad you stick to simple items. For example; buying the goulash and adding extras such as sour cream, red cabbage or cheese soon adds up when you can just get the basic menu for a fraction of the price.
I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting the city, you may be become a regular!response / report this review -

It's true that it is now mostly a touristic place. Still worth a go just for the curiosity of seeing and smelling the local products and bring home a few souvenirs (which I found no more expensive than elsewhere). Upstairs there are clothes stores and fast food options

Great market, I could walk around this place for hours. Love trying all the local foods. Great history a bit of a tourist trap but still an active local market which is the cool part of the experience.

Indoor market perfect for a rainy day! Interesting market. Lots of fruits and veg. Also souvenirs at good price. Local food too on sale. Had to get paprika from here!

Fascinating building. Take in the sights sounds and smells of this wonderful place. Grab a coffee on the upper tier & people watch. If you enjoy photography, then this is a must, some great colours and subjects. I did want to grab some food from the upper floor but by the time we arrived it was absolutely full. You could hardly make your way past people queuing on one side and people sitting/standing to eat on the other side, with people trying to pass both ways in the middle. Arrive early if looking for food as it all looked amazing and some stalls justifiably had long queues. Still recommend visiting this attractive market.

Good market place with a huge variety of souvenirs, fruits/vegetables and cafe places (on the second floor).
This place should be considered first option, when you buy souvenirs as they are much cheaper than Vaci street.. if you want to bring paprika as a souvenir you should check the stands d15 and d17, as they are the cheapest I have seen, even though the package is the same everywhere. Also it's good to walk around a bit and compare prices when it comes to the second floor as well as they vary.. try to avoid the shops near the entrances on the second floor as the prices there are a bit higher always!
