It's old and run down. But I still give 4 stars because of the price. It's good for what it costs. I didn't like the breakfast so much. Many options but many things like bad - like cakes and coffee.
What really annoyed me was the price of the parking - 15 euros per day even for guests!

Room dark and shabby and same with bathroom, only light in there was the dim strip over the washbasin, mould in the grouting. We were in the socialist era building (not shown) adjacent to the one shown in the publicity. Swimming pool out of order the week we were there and from responses on first day and last I had the feeling it was out of order for some time. No apology or attempt at offering compensation, like perhaps reducing the parking charge (€15 per day). Very tired hotel with an air of not caring much. Breakfasts were quite good and the staff there set an example the management would do well to follow.

Hotel has seen better days seems like it hasnt been renovated for a long time. However for the price it was ok. Location was good.

very well located, a glorious and inspiring building but it desperately needs a face lift, especially the bathrooms.
When cleaned up a little you can happily charge a little more, too, and make better business for you and for your guests.

Also very important: the web site is misleading becasue it does not give enough information about the room categories, which i discovered when i checked in. One will chose the lowest price but one will not know that the economic rooms have no windows, no a/c, etc.

The reservation sheet lists what is included but not what is excluded - not a detail :-)

Fortunately the gentlemen how checked me in was of immense help and assistance, he deserves a BIG THANK YOU and an official praise from the management !!

Nice old building but decrepit old hotel. Booked 3 rooms. After upgrading two of them to rooms with AC, the AC did not work in one of them. To add insult to injury we had to pay for all 3 room upgrades, even if only two were actually "upgraded".

Nice location though.

Outside beautiful and location is very good. But the quality of the rooms and furniture for us were really bad, old, smelly and dirty.

For a 2 star hotel, this is a great place for a quick one or two nights stay. Hotel is slightly dated, but in a gorgeous building with great views of Opatija. Great breakfast buffet is included in price.

We got a deal on coupon site and decided to take a chance with it. It was only 95EUR for 2 persons for 2 nights with breakfast and dinner included. As this is only 2 stars hotel it absolutely exceeds our expectations: food is above the level of 3 or even 4 stars hotels here in Croatia, staff is really nice and rooms are neat and clean. AC is working and also heating is more than satisfying, even for us who are staying here with few months old baby. Pool is small but just big enough to stretch jour limbs in seawater in the middle of winter.
Money well spent!
