Very beautiful hotel. Rooms with very high ceiling and unique classy neo-baroque style decoration. They also offer one of the best hotel dinner during our travel in Croatia. But one major drawback is the gym and swimming pool closed at 7pm which is quite ridiculous. Otherwise it would have easily obtained a 5 star rating

Very nice resort hotel located next to the beach. A prime location where you can walk to nice market and supermarket (Tommy) just behind the hotel. Hotel is very clean and the food here is no to complain. I enjoy the breakfast and dinner buffet here. One thing I don’t understand is how early the gym and swimming pool closes. They close at 7 pm which is way to early compare to other hotels we stay. What a waste

Very nice hotel. Rooms are big, hotel is really comfortable and people there are very nice. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are top, you can choose whatever you want.

Opatija , the French Riviera on the Adriatic and a hotel to match ! Stunning hotel with beautiful comfortable rooms . Brilliant location . Walking distance to everythig that is relevant . Heart sore to leave such a beautiful place .

Travel back in time to the peaceful 20's.
The building is over a century old with a matching atmosphere. Restoration is almost complete, windows should be replaced. Other than that, all is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful for Croatian standards and the view is spectacular.response / report this review -

This hotel is wonderful place to stay for weekend. It is in the centre of Opatija and everything is close. Hotel is very beautiful and rooms are very nice. Food is awesome and there is a lot of food. Staf is friendly and helpful. It is a great place to stay, if you want to enjoy.

I have got very bad experience with that hotel! Totally not deserve 4*!
First of all when I arrived with my family, we got different room than we paid for. They gave us the correct one ONLY BECAUSE we were staying there for 7 days (not because it was paid for). It was the room with a seaside view. All you could see from there was a high balcony wall (check photos).
Barely who on this hotel speaks English. Because of that, it is really hard to communicate with restaurant and cleaning personel. Be sure that when you order something in the restaurant, you will get something totally different.
Whole hotel is VEEERY DIRTY. The old elevator works badly, stinks and the floor is messy. Restaurant chairs are awful, I guess they have never been cleaned. There is also a lot of dust everywhere. Dishes aren't properly washed. And all of that dirt is in the place where you and your children eat! When it comes to the food, breakfast and dinner are almost the same everyday. Moreover the taste of served food is rather average. After 3 days you will get bored with it. Rooms are not cleaner than the rest of this "hotel". Personel thinks that if they do your bed and use some air refreshener it will be totally enough.
I don't recommend it to anyone. I am also sure that that place DOESN'T deserve 4 stars at all.response / report this review -
