Good choices for breakfast. Food was very quick to arrive, there was a bit of queue but didn’t take too long to get a table.
They charged 10% service charge, something to also be a aware of.
Delicious breakfast at a reasonable price. My go to here is the classic bacon and eggs breakfast. Love that you get two sides and juice with the meal. The challah French toast with blueberry maple syrup is also super delicious. Just scrape off the excess butter!
Want a western breakfast, looking for some biscuits and gravy? You'll find that here. They have a large menu that covers omlets to grilled cheese. The food is decent and service is fast. Also the potions are large for the price you pay which is awesome.
Perhaps the best feature of the Flying Pan, they are open all day! If you have the munchies after a long night of drinking, swing on by. They will be able to fix that problem.
They have and English menu
We haven't visited it for quite some time and we think its quality has gone down. Its pancakes used to be real good, crispy outside while soft inside and still hot when served. But now, it's just even worse than McDonald's. The strawberry milkshake had no taste and not rich at all. The coffeeokay well. I will come back for memories we had and so I hope they can do better next time we visit them.
Quite enjoyed my Geneva omelet and turkey bacon. Portion size was good, food was tasty. Pancakes were a bit of an odd consistency, more like a thick crepe than American buttermilk hotcake, but after over a month in mainland China, I did not complain. Tasted awesome to me.
OK brunch food - the sausage patties were a bit on the hard side, and the coffee was pretty so-so for it's price. (I would rather a good cup than an entire kettle.) The potatoes were on point.
Tasty all day breakfasts at very reasonable prices, slightly hard to find because it’s on the first floor you just have to find the stairs up through a side entrance.
Delicious western breakfasts, massive portions and a huge range, and a unlimited coffee if you like that option and upgrades to all meals. An institution of a diner. Located up a small, dark and dingy corridor that is akin to a low budget horror movie but totally worth persevering to get up to.
Best omelet I've had in a while. Everything you want in a diner. 24 hours. Quick, competent staff. Good eats. I'm going to be eating there often on my visits to HK.
All day American diner experience, that's opened 24 hours each day. The selection is pretty wide, and quality is relatively okay. For a restaurant this big at Wanchai area, I think that prices are reasonable for what you're getting. I personally had the poached eggs with Avocado, and it was quite sick. Apart from the fact that everything is a component of the larger plate, and some of the items may not be as warm as I'd have expected them to be, overall it's a nice breakfast place to go to.
Extremely quiet for breakfast on a weekday. Quality is what you would expect from a US style diner / luncheonette. If you're craving western food for breakfast and a sandwich won't cut it then at least you have a lot of choices here and the serving is large.

Known as the go-to American diner in HK, we decided to give it a try. Given that it’s open 24 hours, there was no need to rush. The website has pictorial menu that already makes you excited with the wide range of ways they offer to cook your eggs.
Upon arriving, we were seated immediately. The interior decor was just like an American diner. The food also came promptly, likely prepared in advance with some heating up and fresh fried eggs. I decided to go with one that was more difficult to find in typical cafes - Ranchero Eggs. Indeed it was a huge portion, delicious and filling.
With a tortilla base, layered with potatoes, cheese, pickles, tomato, sour cream, avocados and your choice of shrimp, bacon or mushrooms, it was a yummy experience!
Generous portions and wide variety of items in the menu.
We had the Flying Pan, consisting of two slices of bacon, eggs done in several ways, and a meat patty. The set also comes with a small juice as well as two out of several choices like baked beans, spiced apples, Lyonnaise potatoes and mushrooms. You ven have a choice of toast including wheat bread.
Coffee is an extra $37 but is refillable. In fact, they leave the pot on the table.
It is open 24 hours, and service staff were friendly. We will be back to try the waffles and corned beef hash.
I was looking for an English style Breakfast place in Hong Kong, and found the flying pan. Prices are good, place is clean, and the food is great. Fantastic place if you are craving eggs for breakfast.
Nice America breakfest in Hong Kong. Dinner could be on route 66. Service and good were great. I will defiantly be back. I think it would be a bit hard to find, our taxi dripped us at the door 37-39 Lockhart road. Yum!
Coffee is watered down, ordered Egg Benedict with Salmon. There is a little piece of salmon and eggs came very cold. The potatoes side order was the only dish I enjoyed.
I have not finished eating when they brought the bill. The waiter said no rush but kept checking whether I put my card. I felt very rushed considering that it wasn't busy at all, there were only 3 tables occupied in the whole place.
Don't think I will be coming back again.
Hi, I've been in here for breakfast several times recently. The staff are helpful, food is good and reasonable price. I am impressed how helpful and patient the manager, Sam is, because I have become a fussy eater these days, not taking sugar or grains and he was agreeable to adding salads and vegetables without concern. This place delivers good quality what you want, with a smile. I'll be coming in again. Russ
Been to the flying pan three times in a week, and have the omelettes which have all been really tasty, and along with the sides are a decent portion too. Best thing is the service - the staff have all been polite and accommodating. The food comes within 10 minutes, sometimes less! Thanks to Sam for his friendliness and helpful advice for which menu items to go for.
One of my favorite breakfast place! Bottomless coffee and nice omelettes, it is hard to find another place in Hong Kong with such real bargain! Sam and his team are nice and friendly. Definitely recommend for anyone who love good food and great services!
Been enjoying this breakfast place for years. Consistently good with great value for money. Bottomless cup of coffee is hard to find in Hong Kong, so if you enjoy this kind of treat, this is the place! Service is efficient and we value Sam's friendly talent with the customers.
Fantastic Breakfast Place! Open 24 Hours, which is great! These Guys have the Best Breakfast Sets (Waffles and Omelettes are Top Notch!) and Bottomless Coffee is absolutely as good as you think it could be. Ask for Sam at Flying Pan, he'll take great care of you. All in All, Staple Breakfast Place.
Great food, with an imaginative and expansive menu for those that love a good breakfast.
Pot of coffee on the table! The owner is a gentlemen and works hard to bring great service.
Generous portions of favourite foods, friendly service, our family loves to come here for Sunday breakfast. Omeletes are really fluffy and always great! Great option for hungry families in Wanchai!
Our family favorite for hearty breakfasts. WE love eggs and Flying Pan has a great variety. Attentive and welcoming staff , good food, big breakfasts , good service!
The most authentic American diner I've been to in my past 3 years as an expat. Eggs any and every way you can imagine. The interior decor is fantastic—worthy of being a film set—with all of the wall hangings and furniture custom-designed. Can't wait to go back next time I am in Hong Kong
Absolutely amazing.
We love going there and are always 100% satisfied by the superb taste, the big variety of the menu and the great service.
Usually it only takes a few minutes to get served after ordering - even though its very busy most of the times.
Not only the staff is friendly and observant but also Sam, the Manager is very courteous.
I can highly recommend you going there for a delicious all-day breakfast. Special tip: Order the iced lemon tea and enjoy unlimited refill.
