This is one of the largest hospital in Hong Kong. It has a variety of advanced medical instruments. However, the quality of doctors is very different. There are indeed some senior doctors here. They are very professional. However, there are also some doctors who do not meet the standards. They are not professional. For this reason, medical errors often occurs in society. It leads the loss of lives.
Actually, the diagnosis and character of the doctors are very important. They are responsible for the patients. I hope the Hospital Authority supervise them and give guidelines to the doctors.

A corner to have rest on soul: a piano placed at Main Block named after Art in Queen Mary Hospital.

A truly horrific experience. Had to wait for over an hour just to see a nurse, was told that next time I should take a cab so not to waste the ambulance's time (I could barely breathe and had awful stomach pain in the middle of the night). The staff was rude and unhelpful.

Long wait time at Accident & Emergency room. But it is the same for every government hospital in HK. If not in emergency, really should visit private Doctors.

The staff in the wards and clinics are nice and caring.

Remember in Government Hospital, we cannot choose which Doctor to follow our case. Doctors are assigned.

One of the best hospital you could visit in the world, with top notch science and doctors. The only hospital in Hong Kong that does liver transplant as well as having 24 hours primary PCI services. Hope you will never have to visit this place though.

Hefty parking fee. If you stay for longer than an hour be sure to park in Medicine School nearby.

Attention: RN Ms Wong Ka Wai
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to you for taking such good care of me while I was an out-patient for the last 3 visit, now I’m almost recovered.
You are kind, considerate and above all a valuable asset to our local hospital, thank you once again for all the loving care you gave to me.
What a special place and what a special person you are!

Good doctors, the best government hospital in Hong Kong. The down side is, they don't answer you many things or telling you all the details. They are doing their job. They did that just to stop people to asking them too much. The doctors will do their jobs there. We just need to trust them.
