Friendly, good food and drink, very chill with nice music. Recommend booking ahead if you want a table on Sundays !

The environment is nice and the vibe is good with good music. However the service is non existent and the food is average. We had to wait for a full hour to get our drink. We asked for it twice and in the end had to cancel it since we had to clear the table for a reservation. The 2 stars reflect the good sunset view!

I used to love this bar BUT they now adopt the most stupid system for ordering I have ever seen. Unlike a normal bar where you just go to the bar and order with perhaps 3 or 4 barmen. You have to go to 1 station where one at a time you place an order with one person. Yesterday we ordered food and 2 drinks and without exaggeration waited 45 mins before we even got our first beer and 1 hour for food! EVERY ONE was joking about “good luck with your order” so others had experienced the same. Guys please sort this out, there are many bars in HKG just as busy as you and yet can get a drink in under 5 mins!. This is an insane system, if you don’t trust your own staff then allow people to buy tokens and just go to the bare like any other place. I will not go again to Mavericks until the wake up. I am not alone in my feelings here!

Multiple bad experiences over a few months. Rude staff, inexperienced managers. A number of other people we know feel the same. Any review giving 5 stars is likely paid for by the establishment.

I am waiting still for food for around 45 minutes , our beers were hot so we asked for an exchange ! TOTAL RIP OFF AND AWEFULL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE - better go to the fast food shop nearby and be happy at the beach !! Never again :(:(:(

Great location, great vibe - though the food has gone a little south recently, and the service is always a bit bizarre. Lots of staff, who are all v nice, but don't seem to know what they are doing? Still. I love hanging out at Maverick's!

Chilled surf shack vibe. Must have the double decker burger and fries. Kick back with some craft brew and watch the sea whilst the DJ spins his set.

Amazing beach bar with such a cool vibe. Slow service but who cares when you can watch the sun set over gorgeous waves and see buffalo wandering slowly by. Our group ordered burgers, pulled pork, fish and chips, and all of the food was fantastic. Great spot.
