The hike up to the hotel was a difficult one, but well worth it. The view is amazing, the rooms beautiful, and the food delicious. In the restaurant I highly recommend ordering the Pepián. The complementary breakfast in the morning was also amazing with their fresh eggs and homemade bread and jams.

What a great hotel! This is a very relaxing and safe place to stay while at the lake. They have amazing food and amazing service. The view is spectacular! They are also one of the only hotels I have found in Guatemala that has a blow dryer :) If I ever find myself in this area again I would definitely return. Thanks for everything!

Delightful place, enchanting. The view, rooms, food, and all the details are excellent. It is a perfect place to get away from pressures of daily life, and you are only a public launch away from the bustle of San Pedro or Panajachel.
The hosts are longtime international development experts who, when asked, can give you a perspective of Guatemala from a political and health angle that would be more than you can get from a history text.

But the view. One evening I sat on the balcony of my room and watched the play of reducing light, changing winds and development of a lightening storm behind the volcanoes. The calm and peacefulness impressed me - I left regretfully and wanted at least another day.
I will return to this place when I can. Five stars for me.

This place is Amazing! The stair way from the dock is grueling with luggage and backpacks. But all is forgotten when you step foot in the rooms and open the doors to the deck !!! The staff here are very nice and willing to help with what ever you need. And the home made food from the restaurant is very delicious.
