You can buy some handmade textiles. The employees are very friendly, show you around and explain everything you need about the traditions and symbols of sewing. Definitely worth a visit

The quality of work showcased at La Casa del Algodon is unlike anything you'll see in the markets. If you're interested in purchasing high quality textiles as a souvenir (and from a socially responsible entity), then this is the best place to shop. It's a small, intimate shop on the east-side of Antigua, a block south from Casa Santo Domingo. All their products are 100% natural cotton woven by hand in various Mayan communities around Guatemala. Each pattern tells a story and the wonderful shop hosts are happy to tell it to you!
