My favorite place for relaxing. Just laying down on a suite terrace or private pool as therapy to forget stress for a while.

Did not stay the night here but we visited and walked around the resort. It was beautiful. I would love to come back and play a round of golf.

The hotel has great views, but a lot of the amenities are not near your room. They are in a separate building. The restaurants are not bad, but some of the items are over priced for the Guatemalan market, specilly thin gs like coffee and tea. I also wish they offered a few dishes that weren't so heavy on fat. Service was great, with the exception of a problem that I've not resolved yet with the checkout process.

La Reunion is a high-end resort with easy access to all the popular activities that the Antigua region is known for, making it the perfect stay for non-golfers as well as golfers interested in a resort setting on a peaceful piece of property.

ROOMS: We had the privilege of staying in the King Suite and were impressed with how well-equipped these rooms were, perfect for a couple looking for a luxurious, romantic stay. Likewise, the Queen Suite offers the same amenities as the King Suite but with two queen beds, perfect for families or friends traveling together. These Suites have a pool, indoor and outdoor shower, jacuzzi tub overlooking the golf course, living area with mini bar and TV, and outdoor seating area (which can be indoors depending on your room's layout). Upon entering the room, we immediately refreshed after a day of travel in the infinity pool before ordering a delicious dinner to our room. We thought about doing the same for breakfast but decided to have this at the main restaurant instead. The walk uphill to the restaurant is about 5 minutes or so, but it's made easier with a quick call to the reception for a golf cart transfer shuttle. We also woke up to catch the sunrise behind Agua Volcano from our terrace and then returned to bed for a couple hours. After breakfast we took the opportunity to visit the 2-bedroom Villas, which can be rented as is or separated as a Junior Suite (the master bedroom with king) or Deluxe (two queen beds). If you reserve the Junior Suite or complete Villa, then you'll have access to the living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a jacuzzi on the balcony. The Deluxe is the most economical option at La Reunion and without access to the living area, kitchen or jacuzzi. The internet worked well along with the TV and A/C. The staff was always professional, prompt, and courteous.

GOLF: The Fuego Maya Golf Course is stunning and was designed by famous Pete Dye, the same designer of our neighborhood golf courses back in Wisconsin (Whistling Straits and Black Wolf Run). It has views of all three volcanoes - Agua, Fuego, and Acatenago. Other than playing 9 or 18-holes, there are lessons/clinics available along with a driving range.

ACTIVITIES: Other than golf, there is plenty to do both on and off the resort. There is a mini-golf course (complimentary for guests) depicting the first 9-holes of the Fuego Maya course. The property also has a full-service spa, tennis courts, squash courts, basketball, infinity pool, kids' pool next to an outdoor playground, kids' club with childcare services, and a rancho/snack bar near the pool areas that serves drinks, snacks, and lunch. The resort also offers horseback riding, birdwatching, hikes, biking, zip-lining, and rappelling all within the property. You can also arrange half-day to full-day trips to nearby attractions such as Pacaya Volcano, Antigua, coffee tours, sports fishing, etc.

DINING: La Reunion has a main restaurant, El Mirador, with a portion of the restaurant seating reserved for club members only. There is also the Snack Bar nearby the pools and a "19th hole" or Bar Wayeb with TVs. We had lunch at the El Mirador restaurant the day we arrived. The lunch and dinner menu is the same, consisting of steaks, pastas, and seafood dishes. However, we wanted something light and quick, so we requested the snack bar's menu, saving the other menu for our dinner selection. Our lunch was good and our dinner was very good (chicken fettuccini and seafood risotto). The prices are what you'd expect from a high-end resort but nothing outlandish. We had the a la carte breakfast but there is also a nice buffet breakfast option for those with a bigger appetite.

Nice beautiful golf resort in the slopes of a volcano and near t other two volcanoes, even if you're not a golfer it's a great place to visit because of the views of the Guatemalan Pacific coast, if Lucky can catch a volcanic eruption, natural scenery, bird watching, coffee State, 5 star hotel and restaurant.

Un lugar que vale mucho la pena visitar aunque no le guste o no juegue Golf Sólo por las vistas de los volcanes y hacia la Costa Sur.

Amazing views. Beautiful golf course. Great suites! Food could be better, but it is basically regular club food.
