Comayagua has done a great job restoring the old section of the city. The park and church are worth visiting. Be sure and climb the clock tower.

Nice place for your family.. I'd recommend they'd set up some thrash bins to avoid thrash all over the park, although maintenace people are always working.

Antigua's meeting place, chat under the shade of massive Jacarandas and watch the world go by. There are plenty of bench seats for you to relax and escape the heat of the day. The perfect meeting place surrounded by historic architecture, the main Cathedral and City Hall. Cafés and places to grab a bite line one side.

Nice open space surrounded by beautiful and very old buildings. The ambiance while here is multicultural and cosmopolitan. You can buy souvenirs, drink a delicious cup of cofee or just stay in one of the benches and enjoy the atmosphere.

Beautiful Latin American plaza very similar to other old cities. We felt very safe walking around and there are many shops and restaurants to choose from. Truly a treasure you need to see for yourself.

Nice plaza. It's the center of the city and everyone would come here. The place was safe as there were a lot of police or security patrolling in this area.

It was beautiful weather with clean park.
Some performance and people asking money, police around. So I assumed that I have to watch many bag the whole time.

This is a must-walk-through area of Antigua! You can sit and people watch for hours, or just walk through on your way to a restaurant or ruin. Many activities and events happen here throughout the year and the fountain is a great meeting point when trying to find friends.

I'm so amazed! If you like quiet it may not be for you. It wasn't rowdy just alive and happening. Beautiful and colorful, diverse and clean. Awesome people and energy. Great activities, Latin Night on Friday's. They do have a bar and it didn't feel like I was living in a bar tho.😁😊

Lots of people trying to sell you something. I love it. The place is very wooded. People hanging out. In short, excellent to seat and spend some minutes only absorbing everything around you.

Open space with pretty landmarks and view. A bit dangerous at late hours at night and alone.

Great spot to people watch, except when it's TOO crowded - then it becomes hard to find an empty bench and pushy street sellers interrupt your conversation every 30 seconds. Calm on weekdays and a great place to take a breather.

The place is crowded because vendors want to peddle their stuff on international tourists. However, it retains its beauty in a colonial setting. The ruins of a huge church are next to it.

If you love old buildings and ruins, you've come to the right place!!! You pay a small Q.10 to enter. The ruins are so fun and the view of the city is gorgeous. You can also buy inexpensive souvenirs.
