  Nicely decorated place. The food is mostly italian with a vegetarian twist to it. It was good but we had breakfast there too and breakfast are excellents. Service could be improved by simply delivering on time. It was a bit disorganized.

  Beautiful garden with plenty of seating, around a table, on benches or even next to wood-fires in the evening. The menu had a couple vegan choices which were good. Satay pizza was um, interesting but good and the place definitely has more of a European vibe, some what ‘classier’ than others, but probably not because they allowed a piece of trash like me to enter.

  Some of the best food in San Marcos but come here with time to spare, it can take awhile to get served. Everything (it seems) is made from scratch, they even make their own pasta! The place itself is beautiful and worth stopping by for a quick drink just to see if you don't have time to eat.

  I’ve visited Il Giardino several times a year for 5 years. The early discount breakfast is great, the coffee is top notch, and the juiced veggie drinks are the best. I recommend the beet + ginger + other veggie drink. Better than booze, although the hand full of mixed drinks are also good.

  I had the veggie burger off the back of another review I read, and it was the bomb. I also rate their cold hibiscus tea. Service is slow, but that's just Guatemala. Tables are in a nice garden so just take a book or enjoy your company and expect it to take a while.

  Had breakfast here which was very delicious but was disappointed by the service. We came in and ordered before them, but they served the group of tourists that came in after us first, so we had to wait more that 1 hour (for simple pancakes & eggs)! And instead of letting us know the waiter just avoided any eye contact.. the taste of the food made a lot good though.

  We ate here several times. All the food is fresh, delicious, and clean. It's a good value for the area. There's a budget breakfast before 8 that's an especially good deal! Perfect coffee. As a bonus, the gin and tonics are strong and use decent gin 👍.

  Server was very tentative and the atmosphere is a beautiful garden setting. Fresh veggie juices. Decent prices. Could use a menu update, kind of the same thing as everywhere else in San Marcos. Pretty sure the coffee was instant

  Nice place, great ambiance, good service but the food isn't great; it's too expensive for what they serve. Curry was acceptable but not great, the tuna was overcooked,vegetables were good and well seasoned. Desserts (caramel slices -with no caramel- and banana cream pie), meh.

  The food was excelent. And people is so friendly and warm. The best place I visited for eating here at San Marcos. Try the local coffee, is just amazing.

  This was hands down the best restaurant we ate at on Lake atitlan. And perhaps ever. I've never been disappointed with anything I ordered and the ambiance was fantastic. Romantic and casual with a fine dining vibe but very reasonable pricing. The owner is super friendly and the coffee was perfect.
