I am giving a low rating based on the fact that I booked and paid for a room here, and when I arrived in the evening, they had given my room away. I paid $70.00 U.S. for the room. They took me to another hotel that was not as nice.
This hotel was priced at $45.00. I was given no refund for the difference.

To be honest I was so flipping tired and exhausted from travel and from the motus operandi of Antigua hotels, I rolled with the switch. Apparently baiting and switching of hotels is common practice in Antigua Guatemala. I had actually booked an Airbnb early that day and the same thing happened, the only difference: I paid AirBnB and the host cancelled on line, by email, a couple hours later. As a side note the host did not refund my money, but later in the week Airbnb did refund my money.

After some research, I found other travelers experienced similar situations with the hotel switch or the Inn being booked when confirmed guests arrived.
What is the point of paying for a hotel in advance, & receiving a confirmation?!?!

Nothing but good to say. We used the hotel as a base for exploring Antigua and area plus as an early early 4am departure to Tikal. They packed us breakfast for our Tikal flights and were super aware at our stress level or making sure we got up early.

Excellent little garden courtyard makes it nice and quiet dulling some of that Antigua hustle and bustle. Big parking spot so if you needed to work on bikes or dry camping gear that would also work. Big terrace too. Great for star gazing or the super moon.

As with almost all hotels its close to all things (Central Antigua isn't terribly large) but its in a more chill part of town. Cannot find any negatives

We arrived late after a long bus ride from Flores and this was a brilliant surprise! The pictures do not do it justice. It's stunning with a gorgeous courtyard, friendly staff, absolutely charming!! The room was so comfortable with luxury pillows, large bathroom, amazing mattresses We woke up much earlier than expected feeling fresh and ready to explore Antigua. Great location, walking distance to everything. Highly recommend!
