Horrible experience. "0" Stars" - I stayed for 2 days on April 19 & 20, 2018 in 2 different rooms in the old set-up. My nephew booked mine in the new one but I was not aware of it and they let me in to stay in the old one. Worst experience ever. Rooms not clean, windows cracked. Bathroom does not have a door, one person baths leave the toilet soggy full of water, even all towels provided does not hold water. I was given old one because I was Indian even though I went from Canada, my opinion. Customer service called 4-5 times then only response comes to your room. 2nd room I got was full of water because their air conditioner was not working. I had to call 5 times from them to take a look at it. I paid $210 for each room and I wasted my money. I will never go there again and will not recommend to anyone. Even Fiji citizens who went there were treated little better than and how my family was as what they say. I was registered under name "Swastika" if any Pearl Rep wants to look at this review. I stayed in so many hotels even for less than $100 but this was worst with so much money charged to me.
Nice, looks flashy, but our room had a strong musky mouldy smell so we had to leave our screen door open all night. I suppose they can’t do a lot about it in such a humid country but, still, over all, it didn’t spoil our time there and the whole experience was good. The pool was beautiful, the restaurant food was really nice too. Served western food which which we enjoyed.
Hotel
Hotel new wing was opened in 2015 October so hotel is really new and clean. We loved our room in level 3. If you can get any room from 348 or over you will have the best view in the hotel.
A very nice location with all the necessary facilities. The rooms are nice and most have a lovely view. For a nice relaxing break, it's great. And for those who want to dive or snorkel, it has easy access frtom the harbour.
Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at The Pearl. I paid extra to stay in the New Building with a King Size bed (turns out a King Size bed is just 2 Twin beds pushed together). The beds were also uneven and very uncomfortable - I felt every spring in the mattress.
The first day here we put a “do not disturb” sign on our door while we went out - but clearly house cleaning came in anyway (what’s the point of putting up the sign if they’re not going to listen to it). Our screen door to the balcony had a tear at the bottom which is pointless in using to keep critters out (especially since on the balcony there was a bunch of ants coming out of the wall). Second day, house keeping took all our towels (which is great) but didn’t replace them with any. Had zero towels in my suite upon return. They have no iron or ironing board in the suite (you have to call for one) when we did finally get one we got a leaky iron and a big sheet instead of an ironing board.
Lunch at The Deli restaurant was not worth what we paid - burger meat was tiny compared to the bun and all the condiments. Dinner at the Riviera was no better (very greasy fish n chips, and a caeser salad with some sort of sauce that definitely wasn’t caeser). Lastly they have no ATM in the new building which can be a little inconvenient. Really expected more from this hotel considering what I paid. Much happier at the other hotel I stayed at while in Denarau Island.
I live in Suva and driving to pacific harbour to the pearl is always the best spot when you’re running away from the business of Suva.
They have an amazing food menu that is reasonable and one dish could fit 2! If you’re ordering something with wedges or fries.
They do have a great line of cocktails too
It’s a great place if you’re wanting to do a family reunion. There’s space and options of places to sit.
If you’re wanting to run away for a weekend on your own or with someone else it’s also best!
The only thing The Pearl has going for it is the view. During my 7-day stay at The Pearl, the water supply was cut on four separate occasions. If my family and I wanted to go camping, then we would have opted for that choice from the beginning. Secondly, the food is terrible. The food provided at my cousin's Wedding located at The Pearl was simply a disappointment. Drinks are okay but very overpriced. And the buffet breakfast.. Don't even bother! The only restaurant that's excused is "Seduce." The staff are friendly, at least, but I wouldn't have expected anything less. I am genuinely confused how The Pearl has a 4-star rating.
Loved the best beach in Fiji and waking up to the beautiful view from our room each day. The accommodation is a really nice and clean. This isn't the authentic Fiji experience but we loved the comfort and quiet atmosphere it has been very peaceful. We will be back soon!
Have stayed here twice for work. The rooms in the new wing are divine and luxurious. Food is on par and the wander down the beach is beautiful at all times.
An amazing resort with great views. It is relatively new one, around 2 years old. The rooms have a great view, private beach is excellent, a great place to spend with family and friends. If you like to take a romantic holiday or dinner, it is one of the place you should consider. Swimming pool is excellent, food quality is OK. Staff are very friendly and service is good. Ambiance is very good. A great weekend location near Suva.
Great resort. It's right by a river and a beach. Lovely swimming pool. Nice staff, and rooms are quite nice.
Enjoyed happy hour at the bar on the harbour every night.
Reasonably priced. Nice location. Well organised tours.
What a terrible place - pool area is run down and more like 2 star, rooms feel damp. Stay well away. Ok if you are in an extremely tight budget but if you have more than $2 then stay elsewhere.
Good place to hangout with family, friends Good beach, good staff very friendly. Certainly to come back again.
Awesome place lovely Fijian people and amazing location . A welcome Fijian song greeted us then we got a room upgrade plus 2 x 30 min massages as we had to waityes waited 15 min only. How lovely is that. Rooms beautiful with a lovely rain shower and brilliant breakfast with guitarist. Don't forget happy hr which is 2 hrs love Fiji time . Highly recommended!!
Great location and mostly great service the premium rooms are excellent.
The concierge, housekeeping staff and management are super friendly and helpful.
Great hospitality. My group got a welcome song, drink and they sung Isa Lei at the end. Warm feeling. Rooms nice. Good breakfast buffet.
Beautiful place. Friendly staff, very helpful. Excellent breakfast. Food abit expensive though. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
Poor cleaning , pathatic service, broken and unrepair things in rooms and also outside
They called themselves 4 starts any 1 star is better than them.
We just waste our money n time
Great location, Excellent new wing on marina. Old rooms need a bit of a refurb, which is in the pipeline. Lovely staff and a bit different from most Fiji resorts, which is nice.
All tide clearing up must heath that please with love it ok
Beautiful scenery and nice cool breeze always.very clean and tidy rooms . Long wait for meals and drinks though at times
Excellent service and great facilities. Beautiful stretch of beach or relaxing pool if you prefer. Ideal weekend getaway if you live in Suva.
Accommodation:
Spent a week here and enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Our favourite spot to unwind was on one of the hammocks along on the beach with a book or some good company. The buffet breakfast is fantastic but other meals are expensive. Eg. Fish and chips is $28.
Facilities:
It has great conference facilities but the power always went off twice a day without miss. Around 8am in the morning and 7pm in the evenings. The gym has sufficient equipment but for half the time we were there, the air-con didn't work (windows don't open) and they didn't change towels regularly.
Service:
We found the staff helpful, a few went out of their way to accommodate our conference needs. Last thing I noted, front-end staff were more friendly towards foreigners than locals.
For the price, it's a treat. The new Marina wing is beautiful and upclass. Has a few conference rooms which are well furnished and has a good multimedia set up. Vibrant pool with poolside bar. Rooms are very copy and clean. Located close to Navua Town and Pacific Arts Village which, giving access to affordable non resort food, drinks and entertainment.
