Despite our distance ( as we are living in Marshall Islands and we have booked our guests in The Grand Melanesian Hotel), the staff specially, Priya, has been accommodating and assisting us with her best. This was like walking into the Marigold Hotel like the movie. We waited at the airport for transport to the hotel and if we didn't catch a taxi we could be possibly still waiting there now. When we did get to the hotel the guy behind the counter ignored us even though we where the only ones there. Finally checked us in then up to the room. Clearly we must of been the only international guests as the place really appeared to be run down. Downstairs next to the pool where two vinyl lounge chair's with broken feet. The entertainment area also had a lot to be desired. Needless to say shortly after we checked out and found better accommodation. Asking for a refund the guy made a phone call and said no problems. But we are still waiting for the credit to appear. Not exactly a place i would recommend.
