Good transit resort up to local standards. Not much has changed. Restaurant service could be improved.
The best personalized service from arrival, check in till you leave. Even the gardener was awesome. He saw us trying to cross the road with our bags and left his chores to cross over and assist 4 of us with bags. Check in was a breeze, they allowed us to check in early and provided airport transfer on checkout.
If you are a white tourist, then Tokatoka is a place that you'd love. It's conviniently close to the Nadi International Airport and the perfect place to stay overnight before your flight out or just when you've arrived. However, if you're a local from Fiji, then don't expect exceptional service and care. I felt like the tourists from abroad were given better treatment and better rooms. To be fair, I was paying a local rate, so what could I expect? I guess for Tokatoka local rate means less-than-fabulous service.
Great resort. Staff are fantastic. Pool is excellent. Food is good. Very clean rooms. Very happy to stay here Will come again.
Rooms were dated but clean. Friendliness of Fijian staff was amazing. Whatever was asked of them they were happy to help. Pool was awesome in heat.
Great location. Convenient when in transit. Clean rooms set amongst lovely tropical gardens
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around
Fantastic hotel beautiful really friendly and helpful staff. Cheap. Directly opposite the airport well within walking distance
Nice upscale resort right by the airport. They have a pool with a water slide, a large section of the pool is covered. They layout a simple breakfast but it is NOT free. Nice covered walkways to the rooms which some are individual small buildings and some more traditional hotel in a single large building.
Great transit-style hotel literally across the road from the airport.
Very comfortable and large rooms. Excellent pool area and staff.
The people are nice but the service is very very poor. We found a big cockroach in our room on the first day and the electricity was out for around 3 hours.
They were very slow at serving lunch and giving us change that we couldn't even get change because our pick up transport almost left without us.
Lastly, I lost my sunglasses in the process of leaving my luggage in the reception and having them move it to my pick up transport.
I will have to recommend other resorts in this price range for their slow and poor service.
Great stop over when heading back overseas. Conveniently located near to airport. Great friendly staff
Surely not a good place if you just wanna go somewhere for a good night's sleep or on vacation. The major fault was the creaky beds. It is extremely difficult to sleep while the beds make loud creaky sounds and the fairly good continental breakfast did not compensate for the fact that I couldn't sleep the entire night.
An OK place to stay for short periods. I have stayed here numerous times over the past year and the relative low cost, close to the Airport and exceptionally friendly staff kept me coming back. Unfortunately each stay highlighted some small issue, be it noise around the unit from staff or customers (no windows just slats) who don't seem to care others may be sleeping, to no hot water, broken or missing items etc etc. Good pool and reasonable meals, modern gym but overall just needs a refurbishment.
Stayed here on an overnight layover and it was amazing! The staff are incredibly friendly, and the room was great- it had A/C. There was a sweet pool and slide, a gym, restaurant and spa. 20 min from town, just get a taxi or hop on the bus (only 1 Fiji dollar).
Loved it. If only they included breakfast and bed I would given them a 5 star. Oh some improvement the hotel could do would be improve TV receptions in the rooms.
When possible I stay here during my travels through Fiji. You get your own bungalow and pretty sitting area. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, with both a fan and A/C. The restaurant is serviceable - somewhat limited menu and the pool is awesome. To top it off: highly affordable!

Beautiful resort. Friendly staff. Very close to Nadi airport. Free shuttle bus to and fro airport. Nice looking rooms, well maintained.
This is the value for price, nice environment live music, very good food, nice bar, reception 24/7 and room service, swimming pool friendly personnel average room Comfort but not free internet, kids friendly. A/C in the room. Prices vary 50-70 euro not including breakfast.
Typically friendly Fijian staff. Clean tidy facility. Nice refreshing pool.
Very good response when our son stepped on some broken glass another guest had left in the shared eating area. First aid was applied quickly, HR manager logged an incident report, and two staff members followed up the next day, by which time our son was racing around on his foot again, without need of any dressings or plasters.
Nice basic rooms and I loved the chicken wrap I had for dinner here. Good hotel for a night before your flight out and has 24 hour airport shuttle which is very convenient. But low on amenities and the corners and sinks could be cleaner. However quite good for the price.
Repeatedly lied to at reception regarding VAT refunds. Posting this review so that any tourist are aware of this trap.
Upon checkout I queried the VAT on the receipt. This is completely normal and standard practice in Fiji. However the clerk at the reception insisted that I would receive a refund if I presented it to Revenue at the Airport.
I stated that this is not the case for Fiji residents and regardless is not the case for food and consumables, only purchases made. Regardless, after backing himself into a hole he repeatedly stuck to his guns adamant that he was right.
1 hour later I confirmed with Fiji custom that he was indeed lying
I like the fact that it has a swimming slide and the people are just great with excellent service. I would disagree with the food as we ordered a steak, and it was overcooked. Overall, it was ok.
Tokatoka hotel is one the best places to be in Nadi. The feel and environment and staff are amazing with the pool making its attractions as well. I have a awesome experience.
Got booked here when a flight was cancelled. Great place. Unfortunately like any foreign location, if you have an allergy, avoid here.
My daughter had a milk allergy. We asked for plain, out of the pot pasta. They gave as pasta with cheese. Asked them to bring a new one with no cheese. They came back with a "new one", only they just removed 80% of the top off. Needless to say it was a rough night on top of dealing with a delayed flight.
Their kitchen staff was either lazy, cheap, or both.
We loved staying here. We hope to go back a third time. The rooms are great, well maintained and modern. The pool is lovely and you can get great service from the bar and restaurant while you are at the poolside. There is a great slide in the pool for adults and kids. There are no staff monitoring kids in the pool.
There is a volleyball court and swings. The ground are really well kept too. There is always a taxi service ready to go but the hire car shop fronts are just across the road at the airport.
