Really friendly service and helpful as well - they pass you a menu straight away while others are busy ordering. And they will happily help you with your choices so that you won't be pressed to make a decision quickly while your window is open (unlike other pinxtos bars). Looks like a celebrity fave hangout too with lots of interesting photos and posters on the walls.

If you like anchovies, Txepetxa is a must. It comes in all kinds of varieties and is as fresh as can be. My personal favorites are the anchovy with sea urchin eggs and the anchovy with txangurro cream.

Specialising in fish, the crowd is a bit more mature, not a bad thing, but a more refined vibe. The speciality is anchovy, of which there are dozens with different toppings. Excellent quality anchovies which are meaty and flavoursome without being overly fishy.

Amazing anchovies pintxos, and oddly enough enjoyed the version with papaya which was quite well balanced. Staff were friendly and very accommodating despite coming close to closing time.
