Everything a hostel should be. Great communal areas, clean rooms and facilities, friendly staff and a good free breakfast. I arrived by motorcycle and could park right out front and they gave me storage space in the basement for my luggage.

I was visiting Tarifa by Campervan for over a month and always came in the South Hostel Tarifa to drink coffee and get some laptop and internet-work done. So in a nutshell: i didnt sleep at this hostel; but i used them for their bar ;)
The people are so nice i consider them friends by now. It was much fun so i hopped by more often for a beer in the evenings. Great vibes, lovely people, super friendly staffmembers, good coffee and affordable nice beer from the tap.
Great place if you want to meet interesting people. I highly recommend this place!

Stayed here for about a week, the staff was very cool and the hostel itself is nice and clean, within walking distance of downtown and the beach. Would recommend.

Great experience! Clean, laid back, and the Common areas are comfortable and great to just chill. Made a ton of friends! :) Beach only 5 min walking. Best atmosphere Iv experienced in a hostel. Will be returning soon!! Already miss the staff and locals! Very recommended

We stayed at this funky hostel in December and because it was out of season it wasn't packed at all. The ground floor has a nice lounge area, a bar, a clothing store and kitesurfing school. There is a sunken area where the kitchen and eating area is located.
Wifi is available and is strongest in the lobby/lounge. But it is pretty weak in the bedrooms.
Bedrooms are clean but a bit small. Usually consists of two pairs of bunk beds resulting in 4 beds per room.response / report this review -

Well, I travelled thousands of Hostels around the world, and I may say that the concept of Hostel is not clear in here.
Was in August. I don't get the point the check out at 12 and check in at ¿15h? (And complain to me because I arrived later)
And then we had not only to put on the blankets for the bed, we had to also remove them in the morning.why check in so late then? The breakfast is really poor and nobody can not stay in the looby from 00:00h What is more they have a big problem with Mosquitos Couldn't sleep in the whole night and I had 40 bites in the morning. (Wind from levante?)
The quality-service-price and the distance from downtown was not worth it.
Is a shame since the guys where quite friendly.
