I loved this old-style Parador the minute I waled in and saw the huge old lobby with well-dressed elderly Spanish ladies playing canasta at small round tables, people enjoying a drink at the bar, etc. The room I got had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and the African coastline across the bay. The breakfast was very nice, too.

The hotel was maybe once a 4 star hotel, but it hasn't been maintained recently and everything is decaying.

    .

    Best situated hotel in Ceuta

Yes, it's a tad old-fashioned, but that's part of its charm.

It is very well sited and you either get a seaview and see the military next door, or look over the pool and the cathedral square, great for watching the bride arrive!

The rooms are large and comfortable, bathrooms a bit antiquated but clean. The pool area with lawn and trees is not large, but very pleasant and better than other hotels here, where space is as limited as in Gib.

The food is good but pricey by Ceuta standards. Very pleasant dining on the terrace.

You can walk easily to the fabulous Laguna, the Casino, along the shopping streets, and to catch the round Ceuta boat trip, as well as the beach. Great location and overall a pleasant hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and found at first that the hotel seemed a little out dated. Our room had a great view of the ocean, cathedral, and the pool, however the trip to the pool was long because the pool was surrounded by a fence with only one entrance. Do not take the hotel towels with you to the pool. The front desk did not tell us to ask for towels before going to the pool and this is one of their rules. The price to stay is high and we were surprised to learn that breakfast was not included in this price.
