Nice hotel. There is a locker in your room but you have to pay extra to use it. That's just bad. Same applies for WiFi; it's there but not free.
The food is good, varied and the staff in general is very friendly. The hotel is situated close to the beach.
Watch out when you check out in the morning! They tend to charge you for all the remaining lunch/dinner for that day although you check out in the morning. You have to raise that topic or they'll be happy to charge you for unprovided services.
So although the staff is very nice and the accomodation and access to the beach is perfect, the fact everything is charged and they'll be happy to overcharge, it doesn't get more than three starsresponse / report this review -

A great location, palatial design and the staff are always on hand, friendly and efficient. The hotel offers excellent accommodation, themed outdoor pool, indoor pool, Jacuzzis and much much more. Food in the main restaurant can be of mixed quality but very good range available at every sitting so always something to tempt you. Drinks and snacks from the bar are all reasonable. If returning to this area we would definitely stay again.
Isla Canella is very Spanish, thankfully, predominantly new but lovely old style villages, Ayamonte Town and fishing ports easy to walk or cycle to and Bus is regular. Ferries are cheap too and you can visit Isla Cristina and Portugal each for a few euro.response / report this review -

Agosto en familia de Canela
Conociendo la cadena Playa Senator, no podíamos sorprendernos. Pero siempre hay algún detalle, alguna persona o algo nuevo que hace que nuestras vacaciones sean increíbles. Esto nos ha ocurrido en la semana última de agosto que hemos estado en el hotel Playacanela. El personal de recepción correcto y agradable. El de animación estupendo. Igualmente todos los camareros. Le daría la máxima puntuación pero dos veces que hemos estado nos ha tocado el edificio colindante, pasando por un túnel frio, que tienes que coger el abrigo para pasar sin coger un resfriado, la solución es barata. Aparte de este comentario todo es muy bueno, sobresaliente el personal, amable y atento a cualquier necesidad, la cocina sobresaliente y productos Buenos, limpieza muy bien. Volveré a ir si confirmo la solución del primer comentario. Gracias al personal.

"Vista fantástica"

A localização do hotel é fantástica. As instalações são muito boas, o serviço/atendimento também é bom. Comida diversificada para pequeno-almoço, almoço e jantar, mas muito confuso quando a lotação está ao máximo. Ideal para crianças e para descansar, fora de época alta. A animação e o delfi foram médios. Fizeram-nos um up-grade grátis para um quarto superior fantástico!

Hemos pasado la primera semana de septiembre mi familia y han sido unas vacaciones estupendas. La estancia ha sido bastante buena, la animación muy simpática, haciendo especial mención a Marina la cual habíamos conocido años atrás en otro hotel de la cadena.
La opción de TI este año la vi ampliada en lo que se refiere a bolsas cosa q mis niños agradecieron. El acceso a la playa muy bueno. Los camareros muy amables y simpáticos unos con mas ganas de trabajar que otros eso si. El comedor muy grande y sin grandes colas en la cocina en vivo. La habitación amplia aunque la terraza era pequeña pero con vistas a las marismas. Sin duda un hotel que ha cumplido mis expectativas.response / report this review
