We had a lovely stay in the Parador at Ayamonte. What a fabulous setting and location. Set high upon a hill overlooking Portugal and a river estuary. This is an amazing place to base yourself to explore the coastal areas of southern Spain and Portugal.

Hemos venido a este Parador a comer, bonito y con vistas. La comida cara y de baja calidad. Mi hermano y mi primo pidieron una hamburguesa que se la pusieron fría y con patatas de bolsa, la peor carne que he tomado, incomibles. De mi solomillo lo mejor el pisto, el solomillo duro y frio y de dudosa calidad. Los postres normales. Una cuenta de 32 euros por cabeza en una comida que no satisfizo a nadie. Una pena, espero que mejoren en calidad y estén a la altura de lo que cobran. No volveré ni recomendaré en mucho tiempo. Perdón por la opinión negativa y espero que os sirva

Lovely location, nice bright airy and modern but still having a lovely feel to it. Lovely views over the river and town, most of the rooms having a balcony and on site parking. Staff very helpful and pleasant.
