Para ir con niños pequeños es ideal. Tiene amplia zona con césped, parque infantil, estanque con peces, zona arbolada y jardines muy bien cuidados.
Perfect for kids and relaxing
Un lugar para pasear, leermuy tranquilo. Tiene una cascada y un parque infantil.
Its time has passed. Although they recently renewed the children's playground, it seems a disheartened improvement, rather cheap. The uphill area seems mostly abandoned, with trails and fountains, mostly abandoned. The downhill area, by the entrances, has benches under a comfortable creepers' shadow, the main pound sometimes with water and ducks. The the midwife statue is great but also greatly abandoned and deteriorated. All in all, a great space.
Gran parque muy bien situado, muy amplio y tranquilo, aunque está un poco dejado en invierno y no lo cuidan, falta vigilancia entrando la noche.
Beautiful place. Lovely lake and benches
.
A park with summer concerts.
If you walk all the way to the very end, past the Orchid House to the very top, of the Calle Terraza, the main shopping street in Estepona, then after looking at the Giant Fishing Mural (isn't it impressive!) cross the road you will come to the Parque del Calvario.
I reckon that it's the largest of Estepona's many parks.
Built on a hill, it has several water features, starting at the bottom with a lake with a shooting jet fountain and a large waterfall, and at the top a series of interconnected pools.
It also has shady benches, although you may have to fight for one with an amorous teenage couple, beautiful lavender-edged winding pathways, and that Estepona standard: a well-equipped children's playground.
In summer the flat area surrounding the lake is fitted with a stage, lighting and amplifiers (pity the poor people in the flats opposite!) and concerts are held.
A lovely daytime walk in winter, a pleasant evening walk in summer. And there are several other murals nearby to look at, too.
