Very nice and clean hostel with lovely staff, though you need a bit of Spanish to get by. The food was amazing, and I loved the food on the house nights! Cheap drinks as well. I enjoyed their margaritas!
The Wi-Fi is very spotty, and service can be a little slow in the restaurant.response / report this review -

Brilliant set up! Friendly staff, room for parking, goid food and atmosphere and comfy beds. What more could you want. Wifi is slow but why go on holiday to stare at a phone. Plenty to do in the area.

Great hostel is a super place to stay in. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They will be willing to relocate rooms if it is necessary. Wireless Internet is non exisiting when there are a lot of people but you can use one of the 3 computers they have at reception.
Breakfast is alwways free and dinner is free three times a week. Ask for it
They will also provide you guidance of what to do and see around baños.
Some helpful tips:
you can ask for a new towel everyday
You can switch rooms if they are available
You get free dinner from M-W if you register on facebook
You can play pool with anybody and will be a great start to socialize
Bring your own deck of cards (theirs are incompleted)
If you can get room number 6 with window view ( the small waterfall)response / report this review -

Nice place, great rooms and fun lobby, locks in the room didn't work properly though. Got the suite but I haven't tried the jacuzzi yet

Great staff, excellent rooms and fantastic atmosphere. The free breakfast was simple, but good quality. The staff were all knowledgeable in the local scene and attractions, they could answer any questions I had. The other guests were all friendly and the social environment was top notch. Overall it was a good experience that I would recommend!

There is so much to like about this Hostel. The staff is friendly, common room has plenty going on, great place to meet others, rooms are large and the location is perfect.
Cons: I am really splitting hairs to find a con but I have to comment on our toilet condition. It didn’t work properly since my group started our stay but we also didn’t request it to be fixed. Also, when I did my laundry, one of our towels didn’t make it back but the hostel never charged me for it so no big deal.
Pros: They have almost round the clock food options and the worker, Sebastian, was excellent at preparing meals. His burritos were top notch! There is a pool table in the center of the room and plenty of books and board games to keep you occupied. There is a TV with cable and a good DVD selection. Not to mention the refrigerator filled with beer and water.
The rooms were cozy but the beds a bit firm. Everything is gated in so you don’t have to worry about strangers wondering through.
Highly recommended that you stay here when visiting Baños.response / report this review -

Realy helpful and friendly staff at the reception, kitchen and around! Nice rooms and super cool atmosphere in the bar!!! They have to work on there wifi :/

They gave away our room (the last room with something larger than twin beds) despite having a reservation, which wasn't a great way to start. There were people talking and smoking right outside our room at 3am whom I had to ask to quiet down (not the hostel's fault, but that's the vibe). The included breakfast was croissants -- nothing else. It wasn't a bad place (rooms were clean, common area was nice), but a couple of disappointments mean I would recommend elsewhere.

This place has a pool table, bar, camping, and nice rooms. It is the best place in Banos, at the moment, for thrifty travelers. I didn't stay here, but I wish that I had. From the brief time I spent here it looked very nice.

Nice, clean dorms with comfy beds. Free breakfast which was simple; porridge, coffee and croissants. Nice bar area with pool table and easy to organise activities.

Great hostels backpackers was the best hostel we stayed at in Ecuador. Banos was our favorite city. The hostel has free dinner Monday through Wednesday and free breakfast all week. Happy Hour is all day every day and the lounge is a great place to meet other travellers and grab food, drinks and listen to music after a long day adventuring.
