Been a this resort many times it his good place for holiday. The service was pretty good except few hitches with key sometimes I had to go to the reception to change card.At bar there is a bartender name Raul know him for many years is nothing the best how he approach people and serve people,a real pleasure to know this person he his asset for the hotel.Like to mention Antonio, good ambassador and Juan in the kitchen do a good work also there is another person I would like to mention is name is Pablo Alfonso Marte a real nice person ready to help you in any way possible.I would like to thank Miss Pozzi at reception at Beach to help us to accommodate us,also I thank Mr
Tolentino for everything he did for us.The food at La Terrazza was exquisite and also at la pizzeria the pizza was real good.Hats off for the all staff for the job the do everyday, and I would reccomend this resort to everybody.Well done to the Whyndam resort for make this holliday enjoyable for us.

The Resort is well maintained and the site is woderfull. The servers and the bartenders actitud is not as friendly and courteous as it used to be years ago when there was a need for customers. Now they are saturated and perhaps over worked. Don't expect to be trated as VIP

Been here last 4years in November. Going back for Thanksgiving this year. We are TShare owners, there are perks for owning. The air handlers sometimes have difficulty keeping up. The WIFI service is really bad. Connectivity is so very inconsistent to the point of why bother. But then when one is there. You on vacation, right?

Avoid this place by any means!
There is non stop loud music blasting in the beach area during daytime and throughout the resort in the evening till around midnight. On top of that there is a super loud trash truck that comes each night at 10:30 pm the earliest. It was so loud that we couldn`t sleep until 1 am every night! And the security guards are the meanest ever!

Staff needs a quick kick in the ass to wake them up, and security need to keep the non vip out of the vip only areas..and smokers need to be policed.

Not a very nice resort. They do not have room service. Food shuts down early. Only nasty pizza available. Do not stock your mini fridge but one time. Rooms are small even if you have a suite. If you use the safe in your room the resort charges you extra when you check out even tho when you booked it was supposed to come with the room. Resort is older things don't work and run down looking. Water is very rough. Can not snorkel can barely swim.

If i could give this hotel no stars i would. The beach was gorgeous I must say. This is supposedly an all inclusive hotel but you cannot get into any of the restaurants in the resort without reservations. When you go make a reservation they are completely booked. Every restaurant I walked by was completely empty. When I addressed it they said they only take reservations which I am still baffled by. The one restaurant I was able to get into was Atlantis which there was a fee of $20 per person which initially annoyed me but the food was delicious and the service was PHENOMENAL!! Our waiter was Daniel and I cannot say enough nice things about him. He went above and beyond and was very attentive to our table. DO NOT STAY THIS RESORT! Every person that works there is rude. The staff doesn't even know what's going on. You can ask the same questions to 3 different people and get 3 different responses. The minute I got there I was given my room key and had my bags taken to my room. I got to the room to find two double beds. I had specifically asked for a king size bed. I went to the front desk and explained that I was given the wrong room and that I specifically requested a King size bed in my room. I was told by the front desk woman that it is based on availability, i asked her nicely could she please tell me where in my confirmation does it state this. Her exact words to me "I don't have to show you were it says it, its the policy". A policy that is not listed anywhere is not a policy. No one spoke English well enough to understand, thankfully I am bilingual, but my sister in-law and her husband do not speak Spanish and if i wasn't there with them they would have had a hard time. Even the guest service person, Guiliana was rude and unhelpful. one guest service person named Jennifer went above and beyond and helped us with everything she could. My sister in-law got a room with no air conditioning, her second room had a flood from the toilet. The 3rd room was finally ok. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! I am shocked at all the good reviews for this place. We were here for a wedding and I must say the wedding was beautiful. We were also there for a party for my great aunt and the food was just OK. I've never seen a dish served so beautifully WITH A HASH BROWN. It was a joke. Most of my family stayed at this hotel and we all had complaints (there was at least 40 of us staying here). There was no music at this hotel, the theater (which is a club there) was being renovated. There's no free wifi in the hotel except in one area on the second floor and even there it was hard to get service. The hotel was boring, quiet, and the only entertainment was the pool aerobics. The hotel that is attached to this place looks so much nicer and looked much more lively. Its called Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach. Oh the drinks were all watered down. Even the beer. If its not coming from a bottle rest assured its no good. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND SPEND A FEW MORE DOLLARS AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Once at the beach though I was able to enjoy myself because it was breathtaking. Also I was apparently a VIP, and it meant absolutely nothing.

Pros: Really nice place, nice pools, beautiful beach and food is delicious. Lots of fun things for kids. Maids and cleaning staff are super friendly.

Cons: -You can only get free wifi in one location, or you can purchase it.
-Service is not what we expected, you have to get your own drinks when you are at the buffet (even in vip) and we were only served once pool/beach side Which is not a huge inconvenience unless you have a fussy toddler hanging off you. Also, the mini fridge does not get restocked after the first day
-rooms are not very sound proof
-Wait staff, bar staff, and front desk staff are mostly not that friendly. Many of them seem to never smile, be all that helpful, nor enjoy their job.

Note* bring your own shampoo and conditioner

Not recommended unless you are fluent in Spanish, Italian, or German. I was upgraded to a nice room with a huge balcony and 2 full baths for being a rewards diamond member. I also received a VIP bracelet that got us absolutely nothing. Beaches were packed and many people claimed seats early then went to breakfast before actually using lounge chairs. Never seen so many rude chain smoking people in one place as I did here. The groundskeepers and housekeepers worked very hard and kept the place nice. Front desk workers were unimpressive. Posted check in is 3pm, however our room wasn't ready until nearly 5pm.

Great water activities. Wish they had their old dining program where you could pick a restaurant for every night you're there. But the buffets are awesome, so not much of an issue.
